just curious how many people booked dining with the 40% off code?

Maybe some of you can help..I'm a bit confused. I did receive a mailer today with a pin. Was for the campground but they said it applied to resorts as well..for period of 4/23 to 6/2. I was interested in going May 19th departing 26th. They gave me a rate of 258.00 for the WL courtyard view. This includes the tax. I see that some of you here are talking about a 40% off rate..and I'm wondering how you get that rate and did you just ask when you called. I did ask the reservationist when I called about other time periods..but frankly she sounded very confused, and I think I knew more than she did about the rates..and deposits and such. It's been four years since we've been to the WL..but we also went with a mailer code at that time and paid about $100.00 less than I'm currently booked at.for same time period. I don't know if this is much of a discount. I booked it figuring at least I have time to check it out..since it's a room only and I have until March 6th to send a deposit. Should I call back and see whatever..if there are any that is..discounts there might be...maybe they are better for another time period. We do have the option of taking an August vacation and if this 40% that some of you are talking about is available then..we'd switch for that. Thanks for any input you all may have.

We booked our Bc stay with pin/code + dining. Code saved us more than free dining would!

You wouldn't be able to do that. Free dining (at least the only times it has been available) hasn't been combinable with any other discount. You'd have to book the room at rack rate to get free dining, as well as buying at least a 1 day MYW ticket for each person over 3 staying in the room. (This is how it's worked the two years it has been offered, anyway.) The only discount I think anyone has been able to book regarding free dining is a slightly lower rate on the entire package through AAA.

We did. Definitely a better deal than free dining...by almost $200! Of course, if we had stayed with POP, that wouldn't be the case.

Sure you can ask. Basically these are discounts that Disney sends out targeted to specific customers.. and not-transferable from customer to customer. (altho some have tried and been successful - that is not the norm)

give them all call it can't hurt. the pin needs to be attached to your name.

I have had soooo much trouble with this reservation. I did call back as suggested...but because the e-mail confirmation they sent me had the WRONG dates. I called back and spoke to a snippy castmember who seemed annoyed that I wanted a confirmation with the correct dates..can you imagine? She said there was a glich in the system..but they had the correct dates there..which when she read them back to me they did. I didn't want to take a chance ..so I requested a hard copy..and she told me they don't do that anymore. I told her if I didn't have an e-mail address she would have to mail me a hard copy. Then they told me..they just don't do both..e-mail and hard copy. So she was going to e-mail me a corrected confirmation. I wait..yesterday afternoon...I get another confirmation. It to is WRONG..again. I called back.. yet another snippy castmember... who said there is a glich in system..but not to worry about it..I don't need an e-mail or a hard copy. Just show up and present my license they will have my reservation at the WL upon arrival. After reading on another board about a woman who showed up at the lodge..with a hard copy reservation..and they didn't have her room...I certainly don't feel comfortable just showing up without ANY reservation. I need to call again today. This is crazy

As we can also go to Disney in August...if the discount were greater. Frankly..I'm not so thrilled with $258.00 rate at the WL. They told me that the AP rate for that time period was only $10.00 less per night. Of course that adds up on a seven night stay..but we aren't sure if we want to purchase an AP yet..so I figure if it's a ten dollar difference I should stick with the pin code mailer I received. I have to tell you..I haven't been to Disney in a few years..did have a reservatin I needed to cancell back in October..and didn't run into these problems. These reservationist seem very Un-Disney like to me. Too bad.

i just tried your dates and rack rates seems to be $360 per night with tax (thats what the room deposit is) or $320 per night pre tax.

So your $258 per night with tax may be correct.

If you go in August.. starting the 21st when the code is good for its $270 rack rate $303 with tax.

I havent figuued out my room portion but i know i am paying 29xx that week it august for the wl and that includes the dinning plan and tickets.

We've been contemplating adding the dining plan to our December trip (and we got the 40% off mailer). We already made our reservation, but is it hard to add the dining package on to an existing reservation?

horner5-I don't think it would be difficult at all. You are going to be giving them more money....they LOVE that!

I think the code for a package with dining is different than room-only though. They would need to apply the code that starts with Z.
