we are in site 1728 and as we were setting up a cm named david came by and said i had to move my trailer onto the pad. do you know how many times i have had my trailer off to the side of the site. will post photos in a minute

Any vehicles or tow trailers/dollies are to be on the coquina or concrete. He was just doing his job. You've been fortunate up to this point.

Sorry for your dilemna, but I'm glad someone at FtW enforces the rules. You obviously never camped at the Fort when "Mean Gene" worked there - or you would have known without a doubt that putting the tow trailer anywhere but on the pad was a "no-no".

Didnt I just read where one of our members was on 18 Blades of Grass. That new grass is expensive. Maybe they could put about two foot of Astro Turf around.

next thing you know they we start charging extra so you can park 18 blades over.....

I've been told to move a trailer as well. I usually park my trailer behind the MH in the coquina, however, if the site is really tiny, I move it to the overflow with a lock on it. The full hook-ups don't seem to have the space issues that the premium and preferred do as far as putting the trailer in the back. JMO

1) I didn't know of anyone who remembered Mean Gene.
2) He ws one of my trainers.
3) And, yes, the trailer needs ot be on the pad.

I believe there are quiet afew of us that remember Mean Gene. He hasn't been gone for that long.

Oh yes, I remember Gene! He took himself a little too seriously at times, but wasnt' a bad guy. Some of the winter people gave him a ration of crap, and he was always looking for some way to exert his "authority" over them. About all he could do was hand out his "nasty-grams"!

I understand "Mean Moe" has taken his place!

There is absolutely no consistency in the enforcement of rules in WDW or the Fort.

So true, we were a wee bit over with our truck, which was only there because we were bringing some groceries in, we keep it parked in the lot. And a Fort worker asked us to move it. Next day a guy across the street came in with a MH, parked the tow dolly for his toad on our side of the street in the grass between us and the people to our left, it stayed there for the next 4 days of our trip, without a word said. :confused3

I would park my trailer on one of the many empty sites that disney has created because no one can afford to camp at their overpriced campground. Heck, I did it back in July, and the man worked around my truck.

Whether or not it is enforced equally it is about preserving the site. We have the same issue at campgrounds in GA.
