Just booked AKL Pool view with FD!

Never stayed deluxe, sooooo excited!

I'm so upset right now, already had a reservation at pop for 9/19-9/29 and called about FD, was told only thing available is sports. I don't know what to do, I know it is probably stupid but I already booked our airfare and I really don't want to stay anywhere else. Plus the cost to upgrade to a moderate is even more. Does anyone think Pop will open up? Feeling really down now and I know you guys would understand.

Yeah I'm feeling pretty down too! My TA at Small World Vacations said that it's very possible POP rooms will open up. I went ahead and booked Sports just to have it.

Gotta think of the plus side...we ARE still going to Disney and got FD!

I did the same thing. I hope Pop opens up or Im switching to POR or CS

Just called Disney and FD is out for Disney visa holders, but the dates don't start until August 25th Those dates do not work for us at all! Why is it so late this year!!!!

Probably so that when we're there Aug 11-19 we might have an enjoyable vacation!

Crazy twist- if you have a DV you can book a trip for a friend. I have a trip booked as a bounceback from last year so I don't need FD, but some friends want to go with us. I just called and got them FD using my card. The deposit is on my card but the reservation is in their name with all of their details.

I called once to see if it was a possibility (I thought there was no way, I was surprised when after a few minutes the CM said I could) and in that call I was told it was possible with no strings attached. When I called back the second time to make the reservation the CM said it was only possible if we were traveling at the same time.

What is Disney Visa offering today, I didn't see anything about that or recieve anything in the mail either.

We have been Disney Visa holders for years and I don't think I have ever gotten the "heads up" from them on a free dining offer. I have always seen it on other Disney planning site and blogs long before Disney Visa sent out the booking info.

Funny, we are traveling with my ILs, MIL has the visa. The first time we called the CM would NOT let us change both of our ressies for FD. She said we could only do the cardholders ressies. We called back and good thing MIL has card for her and FIL. We were able to change both ressies using the card number with the two names. Saved us 500 over our room only discount. So keep trying if you get turned down

I totally think other resorts and room catagories will become available as the promotion continues since it is bookable until May. Disney allocates room for promotions based on the % numbers of booked rooms so it stands to reason after they book the more expensive catagories and the least desired resorts(ASsp) the other values and mods will become available. It is possible the dates will change too just like in the last FD promo

Ok so I reported earlier that only value resorts were coming up, but then I saw someone got AKL at 9:00 am so I called back and guess what..... We got WL for Sept 29th through October 7th with free dining!!!!!! I'm so excited... Thanks everyone!!!!

Those aren't the actual terms of a free dining offer, that verbage on the Disney Visa page is just for advertising purposes. As with all past offers, this current Disney Visa free dining offer has 3 night minimum booking, 14 night maximum booking, 2 day base ticket requirement and can be booked at all levals of resorts. Also, if you book by the last day of a free dining promo you can have the FD discount applied for up to 14 nights. It's the same for any card holder and will be the same when it comes out for the general public on Monday.

Well, I finally got some pixie dust and was able to finally make my reservations for free dining. Thanks to my wonderful husband he made it happen. My advise is to keep trying if you didn't get what you wanted. Now on to dining plans.

Here is what I just found out. It is a Disney Visa Card holders promo, it will go public on March 5th where I hope they open up more rooms because between the Aug and Sept dates, there are no deluxe hotels coming up. It only shows 2 different value resorts that are available between the dates. The promo does exclude Art of Animation and Fort Wilderness Cabins and Campgrounds. My CM was very helpful so if you have any questions I'd love to try and answer. Hope this helps! I was on the phone for about 45 minutes so we tried several different scenarios.

I just got free dining at the beach club. No problem getting it with my Disney Visa already on deposit for a package that I already had there, but switched dates to start on the 25th of August instead of the 21st. Thanks to the great Disers that gave me the heads up. We love trying some of the TS places.
