We found out Sunday that our BWV resale through the Timeshare Store passed ROFR. 230 pts/$73 per point, we payed closing. BTW, we were told by the agent if it had been less than $73 it may not have passed. I just wanted to take the time to thank all of you for the valuable info I received reading some of this board. We had been thinking about joining DVC since our last stay (DEC 2003 at BC). We called DVC in June and our guide told us all about SSR. It sounds like a lovely resort and I know we'll want to stay there sometime. However, I told him that we really love early Dec and DH loves the Epcot resorts. Our guide told us we could book those stays at 7 mos, no problem. It all sounded great and then I found these boards and read a lot of the "buy where you want to stay" posts. I also found out about resales, which led to a call to the Timeshare Store and the rest is history!
When our guide called last week to see if we were still interested, I told him about the resale. He told me not to be surprised if Disney bought it back because they seemed to be taking back a lot of BWV and BCV. He told me to keep his number handy! Again, I just wanted to thank you guys. I learned so much in a couple weeks just reading some of your posts.
