But feel a little curious. My friedns have done DCL and loved it. As a HUGE Disney fan and DVC member I've been long encouraged to try it. Well, I booked for myself and my GF in March 2004. As I'm reading more and more I know there are offerings for adults but I am getting a bit concerned that there will NOT be many adults only on this cruise. I know it is Disney but I would imagine that there won't ONLY be families or am I way off base.

I don't want to feel too out of place... I mean I love WDW even as I'm in my late 20's but want to have a relaxing cruise with my GF on her spring break...

Thoughts??

DCL is great with or without kids. Now that our kids are older they do not travel with us. My husband and I have been on 4 Disney cruises. (number 5 coming up in April) We are older than you are. We love the adult only areas, Quiet Cove and Serenity Bay. The clubs are fun at night, especially if Rich Purpura is onboard. I am not sure how many young singles cruise on Disney. Maybe someone else knows the anwer to that. Enjoy your cruise.

Dh and I were remarking last year while sitting in the quiet cove hot tub that even when our son is grown we would still do DCL. There is a wonderful uniquess about DCL that there are areas children are simply not allowed. When we tried carnival, there was no adult only pool area, adult only restaurant etc. We don't gamble so the absence of a casino is a plus for us. I just love the elegance of disney it is like traveling back in time, not a huge "hotel or city on the sea" but a luxery liner.. you will love it!

First of all...
Congratulations on booking a cruise!

Second of all...
I wouldn't worry about being the only 'adults' onboard in a sea of families. Hubby and I are going on our third Disney Cruise in 2 years and never feel alone or like the only people there without kids (we are 28 & 31). There is so much to do for adults-only, the possibilities are endless. That is why we love Disney Cruises so much! There is Palo, wine tasting, the Art of Entertainment series, Quiet Cove Pool, numerous 'clubs' and lounges, etc.

Check out Barb and Tony's site: www.castawayclub.com. They are going on their 35th cruise this month -- they don't have children cruising with them either!

Please let me know if I can answer any of your questions -- I'd be happy to help! :)

What cruise will you be on?

We have cruised with and without children. We had a wonderful time every single time we went and are going again at the end of January.
You will not be out of place, go and have fun.

Not to worry, if you love Walt Disney World you're going to have a wonderful time!

We have sailed with family and just as a couple by ourselves and have had the greatest time. Disney designed the Disney Cruise Line experience for all ages and for all family compositions!

Have a great cruise!

I have cruised around and prefer DCL above all other lines, even without kids.. Really the only "adult" offering that DCL doesn't have is a Casino. The rest of the adult entertainment and activities are comparable to another line--themed dance and music nights, spa, pool, hot tubs, movies, bars, etc.. You just have the added Disney touches.. themed dining rather then a massive dining room.. themed Disney shows.. and characters all over the place.
