We've been wanting to to try this location for years, and finally made the reservation today for dinner on August 24th.

I read on another post they stopped using the names "Victoria and Albert" for the servers...I always thought this restaurant was upscale, serving the finest food, but very amusing with the servers "show" as Victoria and Albert.

Has this stopped? Definitely booked this partly for the amusement factor..

Also, my dd, 14 is a vegeterian, and had very particular tastes. Will they be accomodating to her needs?

And are non-alcoholic beverages included in the price or are all beverages extra?

Thanks for your help! :)

I'll be going there for the first time as well. And I do hear that the waiters go by Vicky or Al. And I am a vegetarian, and we are going to call ahead (at least 24 hours) to get some changes made to my meal. I've heard that it's one of the best places to go at WDW for vegetarians.

Hmm...well I don't think of V&A as having any kind of amusement factor. :confused3

Wonderful cuisine, great servers whatever their titles, an intimate and beautiful setting...but no amusement factor at all.

We recently dined at V & A and the servers now go by their own names. Both my DD and I are vegetarians though we do eat fish. I informed the CM when I made my ressie of this fact and a CM from V&A called about a week before we arrived to confirm this. This second CM asked me about specific items we might eat on a "veggie" menu. When we arrived at V&A, my DD and I had special vegetarian menus while my DH and other DD had the regular menu for that night. I can't remember everything on the menu but we had the Peeky Toe Crab, a delicious corn chowder, and the salmon for our entree. We were allowed to order from the regular menu and the others in our party could order from our menu. MY DH and other DD decided that the corn chowder sounded good so all four of us ordered that. The Peeky Toe Crab was not on the "veggie" menu but we were allowed to order it from the regular menu.
All non-alcoholic beverages are included as well as the coffee service. There is an extensive wine list and we ordered a lovely New Zealand white for about $35.
Keep in mind that there is a dress code. Men must wear a jacket but do not need a tie. Women can not wear jeans, flipflops, shorts etc. I wore a dressy pantsuit and my DDs wore dresses.

Last time I was at CT I asked my "Victoria" why she was wearing a nametag that said "Ann". Her response was that AAA had said that naming all the servers "Victoria" or "Albert" was a bit on the hokey side. Since V&A is one of only 46 restaurants in the country with a Five Diamond rating by AAA they figured it would be a good idea to go along with the suggestion rather than take a chance on losing the Five Diamond designation.

The cost for DD's meal will still be the $100.00 for all dinners. All non-alcoholic beverages are included in the price (and the water served is bottled water).
