I just booked the Park Vue for our June trip. I am so excited. We have never stayed at the same hotel more than once, in over 10 trips. Maybe this will be the one.

It's only $25 more total than HOJO, it's closer and has a full breakfast for free:cool1:

I still have my ressies at HOJO incase the Entertainment rate pops up for our dates, but I'm 99% sure that it won't.

Does $750 for 6 nights seem reasonable? We got 1 queen, 1 trundle and 1 bunk bed.

It sounds high to me only because we have HOJO's for 6 days for $463.50. That is with the ET rate though. We stayed at PV last time we went and had one queen with the bunk bed. It was nice, the breakfast was nicer than the typical continental breakfast at other places. The distance is a definite plus.

The cheapest rate I could get for HOJO is $103 per night totalling 724.44. I'm pretty sure the Ent rate won't be available. I looked at the historical thread for 08, 09, and 10 and it was not available for any of our dates...

That's too bad. :sad2: I guess with it being the peak time in June they wouldn't have to offer it. Either way the Park Vue is great, we loved the bunk bed and the walk. :rotfl:

When we stayed it was once again March and we paid $69/night..they even matched a Friday night at $69. I was really suprised to hear how much it had gone up when I called them last week.

Hi! May I ask how you got the $750 for 6 nights. We are thinking of going 5/8-5/14(6 nights) and I just got off the phone with them and they qouted me $1020:scared1:. I also see that you got a queen, bunk bed and a trundle. When I told them the room was for 5 he said I had to get a larger room, 2 queens. I told him we had an infant and that we don't need a bigger room, but he said that for safety reasons we had to have a bigger room because we were a group of 5 not 4. Even with an infant that seems odd.

Do you think it matters if you tell them the room is for 4 not 5?

Thanks

It is part of the fire code and you could be evicted if caught, infant or no infant. Whether it would happen, who knows. Did happen to my brother and his family at another place for falsifying the registration.

Hum, that is interesting. We have stayed in both the regular bunk bed room and the bunk bed with trundle. The rooms were exactly the same size. The only difference was that the trundle room had the third bed under the lower bunk that pulled out into the room (it did make it hard to get to the bathroom).
But...we did only have 4 people on the reservation both time. I originally booked the room with the trundle when I thought my DD's friend might be coming with us. She ended up not coming so I don't know if they would have told us we couldn't have 5 in the room since we never had to ask.

When I called it was more expensive, I was able to get a better rate on line. Have you tried that route?

If it were me, I would just say 4 people. You check in while your DH stays in the car with the infant. Jack's scenario seems unlikely but I suppose it could happen. Again, this is just me...

I don't know why 5 people couldn't fit in the room with a queen, bunk and trundle. Sounds like 5 makes perfect sense to me. I only got the trundle in case I needed to kick DH out of the bed, we sleep in a king, a queen is just a little tight for us. I didn't realize it was under the bunks.

If we do decide to stay there I will book online and I am tempted to make the reservations for 4, but I am a little nervous after reading Blackjackdelta's post(btw-thanks for the warning:thumbsup2). It just seems silly to have to pay for a bigger room that you don't need:confused3 I know it's a fire code, but really...

We might go with our orignal plans, to stay at the Del Sol. We were swayed by PVI because they offered the free breakfast, but now the price difference(over $400) between the two may not be worth it after all. We'll see.

Thanks everyone for all your help!!!!:goodvibes
