We booked our room a couple of weeks ago for our trip March 17-21st thru Hotelkingdom.com We also have a 3 Bedroom Unit and we paid $100 per night which inc. taxes/fees.
It looks great and we should have alot of room for the 5 of us.
Can't Wait
Debbie

We'll also be arriving 3/17 - we'll watch for you by the Volcano Pool! All the units at CP should have the renovations complete by this time. We stayed at CPGV last year and really enjoyed it!

We are booked for March 24-29/05 in a two bedroom at CP for $67 a night on hotelkingdom.com. Looking forward to it!

Checking in Saturday to a 3 bedroom on the Resort side (not grand villas). Will post a review when we're back.

Hi,

We booked through Hotel Kingdom also....2 bedroom suite for $75.00. Cannot wait to get there!!! :Pinkbounc

The only 2 problems we had with Cypress Point were:

1. Finding the place. I recommend getting a good map, because it is out of the way.
2. Finding where to check in. You check in to the left of the main road, at the Cypress Point part, not the Grand Villas section.

Other than that, once you figure out how to get around, it's very convenient to WDW and I4. We liked it there a lot.

I got a quote of $95.86/night for a 2 bedroom suite..... Could I find something cheaper? How about dealing directly with the resort???

Chantal

It's really not too hard to find once you realize where you're going. Just turn into Palm Parkway off of Apopka Vineland Rd, and follow it as it curves around. The entrance to CP is on the left and there is a big sign. There is also a big pond with a water geyser out front. Look for that.

My quote was for the Grand Villas... Is that where everyone is going on this thread or both??? I'm getting confused with prices and the pictures...
The pictures from Sammy look like Grand Villas.....

Help!

Chantal

Chantal the first page of pics are of the Grande Villas and the second page is just the older Cypress Pointe....although all the villas have been renovated by now.
Hope this helps!

Thanks to everyone who posted information in this thread. I also jumped on board. We'll be staying in a 3BR at the Cypress Pointe Resort from 5/1-7.

I just booked a 3-BR for March. Speaking realistically, how long would you all say it takes to get to WDW? MK? AK? I've never driven around the area before, so I don't have a frame of reference.

Also, do you all just drive to the parks? Do you ever leave your cars anywhere in the World and just hop on their transporation system?

DISJen - The Unofficial Guide has a chart that has commute times from each hotel to each park. According to them, it takes 14:15 to get to MK, 9:30 to Epcot, 12:00 to MGM, and 12:30 to AK.

Can't help you with your other question.

Thank you Sammi!! So I guess there's not much difference between the 2 of them - probably the amenities but like someone said, you can use them from both places so that's awesome!

Chantal

Between all the great pictures and the rave reviews on this board, you've all got me rethinking my initial plans! LOL :D I just got a quote yesterday from DU for a stay onsite at POR for a WDW trip late in July (our 1st time to the world). Now all I've got to say is this place looks TONS better for the 5 of us then POR, and it is significantly less $$! So, keep the comments coming, and pics if you have them,---they're really helping me out in making decisions. Thanks a bunch!

We stayed at CP last May and are returning Feb 13-20. I also used Hotlekingdom.com. We loved staying there. There is just no way to compare a condo to a motel room. The kitchen and washer/dryer were great! We are kinda clueless, and we had no trouble driving to the parks. We just found DTD and followed the signs from there. At night, we just followed the signs to DTD. Loved the closeness of Winn-Dixie and restaurants. My traveling party was me and my cousin and her daughter. All girls trip. We felt perfectly safe the whole time we were there. I would not consider CP high luxury, but we are not high luxury people. It's a nice, safe, clean, close, cheap place to stay. What more could you want? Sandyincanada--we will be there with you! Maybe the weather will be warm enough to run into you at the pool!

Can anybody tell me if CP is within walking distance to a grocery store??
Thanks,Debbie

OK I'm editing to say I found a post that answered my question.
I guess theres a Winn Dixie around the corner from the resort.
That'll work out great.
Debbie

The Winn-Dixie is close by, but I don't think I'd walk there. Especially after all the wlking in the parks. It's a block away or so. I'm not even sure there are sidewalks. You really need to drive.

dawsgirl,Thanks,That's good to know!
Debbie
