Wahoo! We are so excited given the events of the past year of our lives.

A little background...We originally hail from Lexington, MA (just outside of Boston). We are Disney World fanatics and have been going 1x-2x annually since 2004. Last October 1st the company i worked for closed it's doors, the day after we returned from 14 glorious days at WDW. 7 months & 2500mi later we have relocated to sunny SoCal as i found a job with a company in irvine, that is HQ'd in Boston. We knew that WDW wasn't in the cards for us in 2009 but were also dissappointed in the cost of DL.

Thanks to the Birthday promo and SoCal AP options, we are doing DL this year!

Even though we live less than 30mi from the Mouse, we still wanted to stay in a hotel to feel like a getaway. DLR's were cost prohibitive but we found that Park Vue Inn has as good a location as any. It fits our budget and allows us to have a mini DL vaca this year.

The great thing is we get to do a cost effective vaca and end up with AP's.

Anyway, we are so excited!:yay:

Sounds like it will be a fun trip! Have you been to DLR before? If not be sure to read the DLR guide for WDW vets.

And welcome to Southern California! Hope you enjoy living down here. We're from Northern California but have lived down here for about 13 years now. The traffic and smog aren't fun but it's great being so close to DLR so that makes up for it!

How great for you guys!!
I think you will find that DL is so worth it. We live in Texas and WDW is actually cheaper for us. But after multiple trips to DL and ONE trip to WDW, we sooo prefer DL. Hope you do too Big Bad New AP holders! Congrats! :cool1:

Oh, that's awesome! Park Vue has THE BEST location, actually! It is closer to the esplanade than DL Hotel or PPH. You will enjoy the Park Vue, we have loved our happy trips to PV!:goodvibes

HOW GREAT FOR YOU!

I am originally from Attleboro, so it is nice to see another East turned west coaster on here!. I hope you have a great time. I really hope you enjoy park vue... it looks like I might be staying there soon too.

Thanks for all the positive comments. We are getting so excited. I have to admit, we have been a bit skeptical of DL (shame on us!) since we have been to WDW many times and it is so much larger in every aspect. We have not been to DL ever so it will be new for us which is very exciting. Besides, we now have an AP that we can use all the time.

We are looking forward to some of the attractions that WDW does not have not to mention seeing the original Magic Kingdom. By the way, is Disneyland only called Disneyland or referred to as Magic Kingdom?

That question is kinda tricky. In my experience, the guests refer to it as Disneyland, but the CM's seem to refer to it a lot as the magic kingdom, or the original Magic Kingdom.
