:p :p I finally decided to book the Akl deluxe savannah view with bunkbeds for my family of six, kids 3,1,9,13, I got a rate of $277.00 per night AP. I thought the breakfast and other perks out weighed the 2 bathroom at a moderate or value resort. We are going Feb. and starting in the value season. Should I switch or is this deal too good to pass.

This is my first post. I will take any advice.
Thank you

Hi Lauren,

That's a great rate. I too have us booked into AKL concierge but for May. We also have a family of 6, but this trip my MIL is coming so that bumped us into 2 rooms. Right now my rate is $450 per night, but I've seen that come down about 30%.

We are going regular season.

Check out nutz4disney's pictures. these are awesome AKL concierge pictures. They made me switch to concierge.

:D It's a very nice resort. Have a good trip.

It sounds like you've weighed the options of more room/extra bathroom vs. the concierge perks. :D

Go for it. We are considering a switch to concierge. I really want to do it.

I can't say enough great things about the AKL concierge. However, with 6 in a room, even with one being a baby, it doesn't sound very comfortable. The deluxe rooms are only slightly larger than a moderate and the furniture is large, leaving little floor space for the "pack and play" crib they have in the closets and thus for the family to even move around in the room. Just something to consider. ---Kathy

Thanks for all the feedback. Its nice to get some different opinions on my choice. Does anyone know if I booked savannah view in a deluxe with bunks can I request to be on the 6th floor close to the lounge? Any other ideas on what I need or should request would be appreciated!
Thanks again

Lauren- There aren't many savannah view rooms on the 6th floor and I'm not sure if any have the bunkbeds. We've always stayed on the 6th floor for convenience ( in a handicapped accessible room ) but the views of the savannah on the 5th floor are far superior. So I guess it depends on convenience vs. great view. There are no zebras in the savannah view on 6th floor and there's a thatched roof that blocks out quite a bit of the view, unfortunately. Half the rooms on 6th floor have a pool view. ---Kathy
