I like James Patterson but I have never read any of the Alex Cross novels. I am not sure why.

I have so many favorite authors that maybe someone else has had a book out at the same time and their book took president over them. Who knows:confused3

I'll bet it was crazy with that weather. I can hardly wait to hear all about it!!

remember the movie "kiss the girls" with morgan freeman? He played alex cross and ashley judd was in it. And the movie "along came a spider" with morgan freeman as alex cross again. excellent books! if you like crime mysteries you will for sure like these. there must be 16 or more books in the series.

I love Paula :)

Today is my last day of work for the year!

Hurray!!:cool1: Vacation time!!! Any plans?

yes, the third frankenstein book is out has been for awhile. but it was put out so much later than the other two that you almost have to reread those so you can remember what's going on.

Good to know. I'll be on the look out for it.

My Christmas shopping is all done (for the most part, I still need to pick up a gift card or two) I still need to wrap the last minute ones for the kids, but now that school is out it makes it difficult to be sneaky.

I haven't forgot about the pictures of the ornaments my mom made. Taking them isn't the issue, it's getting them loaded to photobucket that takes up the time. I'll try tonight

Hopefully 4 am is early enough for you to beat it! Wow, that's early! And hopefully you get lots done. You are brave to just be starting! Lol. To me it doesn't feel like Christmas until I've started shopping, so I try to get started in the first couple weeks of December.

We are having a Turkey dinner on Friday night with Dillons family, and again on Sunday with my Dad. And we just had one this last Sunday with my Grandma, lol. Too bad Turkey is the one thing that has made me feel yucky to eat since I've been pregnant!

I was so excited to see my Grandma though. It had been a while. But what made it really special for me is that she gave me a couple of teddy bears for the baby that my Grandpa had made not long before he died. They are so cute, and I love them so much. Mostly because he made them.

All this talk about Nooks, makes me really want one again. I was really eyeing the Sony version a few months ago, but not sure I can afford it. I love them though.

Hi everyone. I'm doing okay. Working a completely different schedule than I am used to. I've also had some hectic shifts while working so haven't had a chance to catch up on the posts... Espescially since you guys were BUSY in here last night.

Thank you girls for your kind words! I like you too and miss hanging out in here. My schedule returns to normal the second week of January!

I'm posting this from my phone as I'm falling asleep so any typos I blame on fat fingers!!

I lucked out and don't have to fix dinner, though I do need to make a pie. My poor DH has to work mandatory OT on Christmas Eve. How sucky is that?

I need to look into reading them. I have read other series of his and liked them.

Have ever read Sue Grafton?

That is so special about the teddy bears. I know that I would treasure them. My dad made the kids things before he died and I cherish them.

I love my Nook.

Get good rest. Merry Christmas. It's great to see you!!

I am cooking a second Christmas meal next week because my niece and her family can't make it until a week from today. She has requested chicken and dumplings, that is no big deal.

Yes yes he did.

WELL his first wife was Catherine of Aragon (he divorced her)
2nd: Anne Boleyn (Beheaded)
3rd: Jane Seymour (Died in Childbirth)
4th: Anne of Cleves (Divorced, apparently not attractive enough for Henry.)
5th: Kathryn Howard (Beheaded for adultery.)
6th: Katherine Parr (luckiest out of the 6 as she lived.)

Henry the VIII sure did GET AROUND let me tell you. :woohoo:

yesi thought so... he was the ladies man of his time! :lmao:

Here's one. Who doesn't love coordinating SM photos and then one of your crew goes off and does their own thing?:rotfl:

good morning everyone.

Good morning!! Well, more like good afternoon, lol.

has anyone heard from Paula lately? she's such a nice person I miss hearing from her.

I shoot the breeze with her on FB every now and again. ;)

Speak of the devil! ;)

Man, it was like the good old days in here last night. Can we do that again soon? Now that the Holidays are almost over, lol.

Afternoon guys!

Wow there was a lot of reading to catch up on, and I was only away for a couple days!

How is everyones Christmas shopping going? I am almost done, just got one or two more things to pick up.

It feels kind of like Christmas has already come and gone for me, as we had a bit of a Christmas get together with my family, because my brother and his girlfriend are going to be out of town this weekend.

But we still have Christmas with Dillon's family on Friday, and my Dad on Saturday. Busy weekend ahead.

I am pretty excited cause as of noon on Friday, I have 10 days off!

Hope everyone is doing well!

My Christmas shopping is done. I didn't really buy anything for anyone outside of my immediate family. Everyone else gets brownie mix in a bag that I've been putting together. Easy, peasy.

Whew! I am all caught up here. I'm catching up on my phone so no quoting. I am waaaaaay jealous of ChickenCarlos - Hawaii and then DLR. HOW AWESOME is that??!! I think the rain will go away by then too. :)

That was the craziest wet and wildest DLR trip ever!!!! Good times though. I'll post some photos when I get a chance.

I haven't been on FB much either but I saw all my DIS friends jump to my "defense" when some of my other friends were teasing me about my DLR checkin! Lol gotta love it:goodvibes

 Yay! You're back. But boo to that at the same time, lol. And I stand by it ... that is one epidemic I could not mind ;)

Is it said it I learned about the fate of his wives from The Tudors? I'm tempted to pick up some books on him now. The show was good, but I do know that it's a show and not historical fact.

Hi there!!

Hiiiii-IIIIIIIIIIIII!!

Hurray!!:cool1: Vacation time!!! Any plans?

Sleeeep! :rotfl:

My best friend moves to England on the 17th so I will be spending as much time as possible with him until he goes. My other best friend works nights so I don't see her much these days so we have a bunch of girly things planned :goodvibes
