Dean Koontz rocks!! I have a small library of his books. He had a frankenstien series that i don't know if he finished. I read two of the three books, can't find the third. the Odd Thomas series is good, too.

I love Odd Thomas. Now they are doing Odd Thomas graphic novels. He wrote one several years back about a night time dj that couldn't go out into the sun and his name was Sonny. He was one of my favorite Dean Koontz characters. I don't know if he finished the Frankenstein series. It seems to me that we only have two of the books.

I am an avid reader. I love all sorts of books! Right now I am really into reading all about King Henry VIII and his wives. So fascinating!

Dean Koontz is an avid owner of Golden Retrievers I am sure that is one of his on the cover with him. As a general rule I will say that his books are good, if not scary.

I am not much for historical novels but King Henry VIII is quite an interesting person so I bet that is a fascinating read.

I am not much for historical novels but King Henry VIII is quite an interesting person so I bet that is a fascinating read.

I think that anytime someone has absolute power like he did they have the tendency to be tyrannical. But, very fascinating.

I feel sorry for all of the women in his life.

Afternoon guys!

Wow there was a lot of reading to catch up on, and I was only away for a couple days!

How is everyones Christmas shopping going? I am almost done, just got one or two more things to pick up.

It feels kind of like Christmas has already come and gone for me, as we had a bit of a Christmas get together with my family, because my brother and his girlfriend are going to be out of town this weekend.

But we still have Christmas with Dillon's family on Friday, and my Dad on Saturday. Busy weekend ahead.

I am pretty excited cause as of noon on Friday, I have 10 days off!

yes, the third frankenstein book is out has been for awhile. but it was put out so much later than the other two that you almost have to reread those so you can remember what's going on.

i enjoy his books, some are a little out there and i have a hard time getting into them. i really enjoy james patterson. have read all his "alex cross" series. good books.

I wonder if we have all three and I just haven't realized it. I have a Nook so the majority of what I read is on it. But for Dean Koontz I will buy the book, my husband is a major fan of his and doesn't have a Nook yet.

Whew! I am all caught up here. I'm catching up on my phone so no quoting. I am waaaaaay jealous of ChickenCarlos - Hawaii and then DLR. HOW AWESOME is that??!! I think the rain will go away by then too.

That was the craziest wet and wildest DLR trip ever!!!! Good times though. I'll post some photos when I get a chance.

I haven't been on FB much either but I saw all my DIS friends jump to my "defense" when some of my other friends were teasing me about my DLR checkin! Lol gotta love it

Haha, it'll be like that for me too. I get paid on Thursday, so I am going to get the rest of my shopping done then. Talk about last minute! I am going to try and avoid going to any sort of store on Friday. Have you ever been to Walmart on Christmas Eve? It seems like EVERYONE saves their shopping until Christmas eve and do it all there.

I am so excited for holidays! At 11 our work closes up shop and we have a lunch and play a gift exchange game, then we are usually out by noon. It will be so nice.

I like James Patterson but I have never read any of the Alex Cross novels. I am not sure why.

2nd: Anne Boleyn (Beheaded)
3rd: Jane Seymour (Died in Childbirth)
4th: Anne of Cleves (Divorced, apparently not attractive enough for Henry.)
5th: Kathryn Howard (Beheaded for adultery.)
6th: Katherine Parr (luckiest out of the 6 as she lived.)

Henry the VIII sure did GET AROUND let me tell you.
