I am so not a fan of Walmart in Canada or the US. Like Jazz, it's mainly for political reasons. I have not shopped there is a long time. (maybe twice in the last 5 years). I much prefer Target, even if I have to cross the border to get there.

This was desperation for me. I did get what I wanted so that made it good for me. My mom loves the place and so does my sister. I will never understand it.

Hello everyone. I've already been productive today, took Cass to school and then headed to my BFF's. She's gone to NY for the next week (they left last night) so I'm feeding her horses for her. Went this morning and did that, then went to Michael's in Vacaville where I found the beads I'd been looking for!!! YAY!!!!!! I'm quite excited!! Jade has a friend over to spend the night (half day today) so we will go grab lunch in a bit and I've got a few errands to run as well. Then we will have lasagne for dinner tonight, think I might look for a mini cupcake tin to make mini cupcakes tomorrow, if I don't find one maybe brownies....not sure yet. We have a house party to do tomorrow so I won't be online much if at all. I really don't want to go to the grocery store but I have to....lol need the lasagne for dinner.

I am thinking of putting up the Christmas Tree tonight. I know it's a little early, but what's the point of only having it up a few weeks? I know some people that don't put them up until Christmas Eve. What's the point? That's a lot of work for such a little amount of time to be up! But I am excited. I love Christmas. Next time I go to DLR, I would like it to be during the Christmas season. It looks so beautiful. Although the next time I go, I would also like to see the Haunted Mansion the way it's supposed to be. I liked the Nightmare Before Christmas theme, but it just wasn't the same. So we will see which one rules out the other I guess. It might be a few years now.

That is one sweet mural (even if I'm not a fan of Tink and her friends ). I wish I could do that.

I know a lot of nurses, and pretty much all of them love their job Do you work at a local hospital? I know a few at Good Sam.

That's a tough one! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE DLR at Christmas. I can't say it enough. It is so beautiful and magical, I get all misty-eyed thinking about it But yeah, from late September until January, you're just gonna see Jack Skellington at HM.

Thanks for all the complements on this painting. My Mom did a fantastic job. My older little sis drew it and Mom did the painting. On the opposite wall is a large Tinkerbell wall cling. My sons room is dected out with Lightning McQueen. I painted a "road" boarder around the room and put Cars all around it. He even has a Lightning McQueen bed.

I can't stand my Walmart. The store is clutered and nothing is where it's supposed to be. I've noticed the quality is less and the patrons are of lower caliber persons most of the time.

It's been snowing here all day. Just wet snow in with the rain, but still snowing and cold. I am so not a winter person. I cannot wait to go home to Australia in 3 weeks. I need sun.

Kind of ironic that for 3 years I worked for the Olympic Winter Games, and for the last month I was pretty much working outside every day.

Oh and our power keeps flickering on and off. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes out completely at some point tonight. We don't get much snow in Vancouver, so when it does snow everything shuts down. Andrea (in Calgary) wouldn't even count this as snow.

I work at Kaiser Santa Clara. I'm a med/surg nurse but I float to the ortho/surg floor and also to Mother/baby.

Good morning all. Any big plans for the weekend. Other than some light packing, I don't have any plans. It's supposed to rain all weekend and our furnace's heat exchanger is cracked. This furnace is the one that came with the house and is 25 years old. If we were to just replace the part, something else would break so we have to get a new one. I'm going to make an appointment with Sears for a free estimate.
