Thank you for the well wishes. I was so busy at work today and my voice is nearly gone now. It's sooo low too haha(<--my laugh sounds like a hardy man chuckle).

We have Kaiser, and that's our hospital I've only been there a couple of times though, we do our regular doctor visits at the Campbell location.

Heh, me too! I go to the Santa Clara Kaiser to get my eyes checked though.

Fun! I love going to movies for the matinee price Both the teenagers saw HP last night. DH and I will try to catch it sometime in the next week or so, DD6 probably too. She saw the last one on HBO and seems to handle the scary scenes really well. She's way more brave than I was at that age.

so today is my birthday I got to sleep in. And then DH picked up donuts and made breakfast. Got some cards from the kids and a cozy pair of black Uggs (my request). It's 10:30 and I'm still in my PJs Good birthday so far.

The air conditioner should help a lot. We live 45 miles from San Francisco and although we have some unbearable days there are no really enough to justify having an air conditioner. Especially since the utilities are so high here in California.

The power bills here have just recently increased, so the summer one is going to be ridiculous.
The apartment I am in has 10 foot ceilings, it is called a Loft Apartment, and they have put an aircon into into it that is too small for the open plan room size. So even though it is cooling down, it isnt cold. Also some days I have to have the fan running as well to circulate the cool air, so and added expense on top of the aircon!!

I can't say I'm looking forward to January in Melbourne & Sydney. The last time we were there at that time of year it was 40+C (100+F). It was unbearable. That is too hot even for me.

I used to rent in Bellevue Hill and work at Bondi Beach, so I walked to and from work. I thought I was going to die.

Isnt that really hilly? I cant imagine walking in that heat, you would find me dead by the side of the road!!!
We live in the South West, near Campbelltown, so no sea breeze here, and the heat is a good 5-10 degrees hotter that the city

Very hilly, not a flat spot between my flat and the hotel. At either end of the walk I was just drenched.

I also lived in Windsor for awhile, now that was nice and flat, but out in the middle of nowhere.
