Just back from our 10-19 to 10-24 trip!! We had a GREAT time despite the heat. We managed to avoid the hurricane for the most part and our flight even left on time yesterday! We went to MNSSHP on Friday which we loved. If anyone has any questions just let me know!

We too are just back from our 10/16 - 10/23 trip. We left about 15 hours before the arrival of Wilma!
We had a great Time. I thought it was much more crowded than in October's past. But we found the lines very manageable. Other than an 80 minute wait one day for Soarian, and a 40 minute wait one day for Splash Mountain, we waited very little. Most posted waits were around 20 minutes, but they often were actually less than that.
I thought it was very hot, and from Wednesday on oppresively humid. I was surprised by the heat and humidity this late into October. It was truly uncomfortable. I can't imagine the summer.

I agree with you about the humidity!! Holy cow! According to my Grandma who lives outside Orlando, the high humidity is somewhat unusual, especially this late in October. She said it is usually still in the mid 80's, but not humid like that.

We have never been in October before, but the crowds were much lower than on our last trip during November (we ended up being there during Jersey week, which I had no clue about at the time). We were at MK on Thursday and Sunday morning and never waited longer than 15 minutes for anything, except Dumbo which was 20 minutes on Sunday. Although we did not do any big rides since are kids are littler.

Welcome back! Glad to hear that you had a great time & that you're back safe & sound.

Just got back last night as well. what a great weekend despite the humidity. Parks were empty due to the Wilma threat. Got a message about 12:30 Monday just as Wilma was through that the parks were opening till midnight, drove straight to MK, and walked into an empty park and beautiful weather. Got a good 4 hours of riding in before having to leave for the airport. Never cancel your trip due to a hurricane threat, Disney's got to be the safest place in Florida and you'll be rewarded for weathering the storm.

Hey! We just got back too from a 10/17-10/24 trip, Wilma and all! I agree that it was crowded and hot-humid. If any one also has any ?'s I'll be happy to answer.

Thanks for sharing this. It's a much needed reminder that I needed.

We got home this morning about 12:30 am. from our 10/21-10/24 trip. We rearranged our schdule to do all we wanted to do. WE did MK on SAt. It was humid and hot and lots of people but short wait times. It did rain late in the afternoon for a bit but stopped and the fireworks were great! Tinklebell made her appearence and we had a great day. Did Buzz 3X, space mountain 2X, BTRR 2X, Dumbo 2X, splash mountian, MIckey's Philharmagic, Tike room, Peter Pan, Hunny Pots, Pirates of the CArb., Bear country jamboree, TTA, It's a Small World, saw Mickey, Minnie , Pluto, and Goofy..that's all I remember right now. WE did MGM on Sunday and only missed Fantasmic as It started pouring at 7:30. No way to get out with all those people and we got drenched. Another great day and got to do and see much at MGM.

We were there 10/16-10/21. Weather was nice and hot, just the way I like it, in the mid-80s. Wednesday was really hot, wasn't it-- we were sweating like crazy!

The day we left, Friday 10/21, the skies were so gray and stormy that I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer even if I could!

Aliki, It did rain - teeming rain - for a while late Friday afternoon. Saturday afternoon also. We left Sunday morninbg, so I can't comment on Sunday's weather. On Friday, we just happened to be in the Rose & Crown Pub enjoying a late afternoon beverage when the deluge started LOL! We stayed put through the worst of the rain, then headed back to the BCV until it stopped and then back to Epcot for the end of the evening. On Saturday, it was so hot and humid, we were grateful for the rain - it cooled us off!

It started raining on Sunday around 7ish. And it just kept on raining! LOL!! It slowed up at times, but pretty much rained throughout the night and all Monday morning. Our flight took off at 1:25 Monday afternoon and it was pretty much done by then I think.

Friday we were eating at CRT when it started raining and it was over by the time we were done and ready for MNSSHP!! :flower:

Can I ask you what time of day did you see Soarin for 80 minutes line? I sure don't want to go then! I am planning to do it first thing in the morning.

I'm just back too. So I'll help here. Best bet for Soarin' is to get a Fast Pass as soon as you get there. We were at Epcot two days last week- Fri & Sat and the Stand-by wait was that long both days- we saw 60-70 minutes from late morning to the end of the day. It is so popular that the dispensing of Fast Passes stops usually around 1:30 every day since the 'return time' of the Fast Pass gets to be past closing. A Cast Member we talked later also commented on Fast Passes being gone early in the day.

One option is to get there first thing- like at opening- ride Soarin' with a minimal line and then grab a Fast Pass for later in the day.

It is such an awesome ride- definately go the Fast Pass route so you don't have to kill all that time in line.

Hope that helps. Have a great trip!!

We were at Disney 10/15-10/23 and didn't have any problems with crowds. We were able to just walk on many lines, and as mentioned, if a sign said 20 minutes, it was usually much less.

We were able to walk on much of Fantasyland. Also we walked on Splash Mountain, and rode Thunder Mountain Railroad twice in a row.

The weather was hot but sunny, with rain only part of Friday and part of Saturday.

You should be fine first thing in the morning. If the line is long already, just get a Fastpass. We saw a 70 minute wait at around 6 on Sunday night. All the Fastpasses were gone (don't know when they ran out, didn't ask).

We just got back from our stay Oct 14 - 23rd. We flew out of Tampa on Sunday and the conditions were great. The heat was much worse than expected and the humidity made it feel like the heart of the summer. The parks seemed busy the whole time, but ride times were manageable with the exception of Soarin and Pete Pan. We fast passed them. To give you an idea of the lines for Soarin we got a fast pass at 11am and it was for 6:45pm. Using the fast pass line made it a short wait though. Test Track broke down on the 15th, but we were allowed to use our fast passes later in the week. MNSSHP was great and we ended up going twice.
