We just got back from a great stay at the CBR. Thanks to everyone for answering my questions! I will be posting a detailed trip report once I get my act together, but would be happy to answer some questions.

We went to all 4 parks and saw all of the parades.

We also ate at these restaurants:

Chef Mickeys - Dinner
Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway
1900 PF- Dinner
Hollywood and Vine - Lunch
Pinocchio's - Lunch
Electric Umbrella - Lunch
Whispering Canyon - Dinner
CBR Food Court - Lunch and Dinner
Wolfgang Puck Express - Dinner
Pizzafari - Lunch

We also celebrated my DD's 6th birthday while we were there!

We will be staying at CBR in july. Which area do you recommend? Glad you had a good time.

If you are planning on buying the refillable mugs, you need to stay in the Martinique buildings since they are the closest to the food court. We stayed in Trinidad South, which is one of the furthest buildings from the food court. It was very quiet and peaceful there, which we liked. We used the quiet pool there almost everyday and we coud see the fireworks at Epcot on the beach which was right behind our building.

What did you think of Whispering Canyon? I saw that restaurant on one of those travel channel shows and have wanted to go ever since. Looks like a lot of fun to me.

How was the Princess Breakfast at Norway? We have PS for May 8th, and I'm curious to see how this rates with the Cindy's. What characters were there? Any info would help!

I would also like to know how Whispering Canyon was.

Also - We are going down in August and will be there on my son's ninth birthday. What special things did you do for your daughter's birthday?

kaabast and Colestat - Whispering Canyon was a lot of fun. We made a PS and were seated right away. My DD ran in the Pony Express race, where the kids ride with the horses on a stick around the restaurant and the parents hoop and holler to cheer them on. Everyone who ran in the race got a certificate. When the boy at the table next to us asked for ketchup, people brought it from all over. DD needed ketchup for her nuggets, so he gave her all of the ketchup he got. When someone else asked for ketchup, my DD and the kids at the next table took it to them. It was cute. There was also an older man at the table behind us who asked for a large glass of water. What they brought out looked like a small bucket! We got a big kick out of it! The food was also good. My DH and each got the all you can eat skillet. The pulled pork was excellent. We also liked the BBQ chicken and the salad with apple-vinagrette dressing. We would definitely go back!

OzFan - The Princess Breakfast was really nice. We had a PS for 830 am the day after my DD's birthday. It takes a few minutes to walk to Norway, but they had it all roped off. They had a short ceremony where the picked a princess to help magically open the door, which was cute. We were seated right away. They brought out fruit, fruit dip, and pastries to start with, as well as juice and coffee. Our server Beate, was so sweet. We were seated on the left side of the restaurant and that happened to be where the princesses came out of. We saw Mary Poppins, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, and Mulan (which is who we were hoping for!) Since they came out one after the other, we saw them all within 5 minutes. The food was bacon, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. They will also bring you out more of whatever you want (like just sausage). When I made the PS, I told them that my DD would be celebrating her birthday. Beate came up and asked me how to spell my DD's name so they could write it on a certificate. She brought it out to her and had everyone that worked there sign it and wrote "Happy Birthday" in Norweigan on the back of it! She also brought out a troll cookie with frosting paint so that she could decorate it! We were at Cindy's last year and the breakfasts are comparable. It's nice to eat in the castle, but this was something a little different (and it seemed to have that castle feel). I think you'll like either.

Colestat - When I made our reservations, I told them she would be celebrating a birthday. The CM told me to tell everyone that it was her birthday.

When we checked in, the CM told my DD she had a phone call. It was Goofy singing Happy Birthday. They also gave her a coloring book and crayons. Another CM came out and gave her a pin.

At Chef Mickey's, we told the server it was her birthday and they brought her out a cupcake with a candle.

We went to the Magic Kingdom the day of the birthday and we got a "Today's my birthday" pin. Almost every character wrote happy birthday in her autograph book. When we got back to our room, there was an autographed picture of Mickey for her that said Happy Birthday too.

She also got a certificate in Norway at the princess breakfast (see below).

Any wonder the kid cried when we left?;)
