Just returned last night from a 8 day trip to the house of mouse. Quick recap. Stayed at POP again, we really enjoy this resort, the pools are good and the food court has a lot of options.
We did rent a car, with having a 2 year old and a stroller it is just a lot easier to get around then the buses, especially in the middle of the day for naps and pool time.
Weather was HOT AND HUMID the first 3 or 4 days of the trip, then cooled down in the middle of the week and a lot of the humidity left, which made it a lot more comfortable.
Crowds seemed heavier this year than last year at this sametime. We did Food and Wine Festival the day of our arrival, last saturday and it was pretty crowded. The rest of the week wasnt horrible but like I said seemed more crowded than last year, even some of the non headliners had long waits. Fastpasses save the day every time though.
Online checkin for the resort is the way to go. On our arrival there were probably 50 or so people in line to check in, but the online checkin counter had no line, so total time checking in was 5 minutes, it was great like a fastpass for check-in.
We were never seated later than 10minutes past our ADR times and a few times were even sat right away on our check-in. Overall the food was very good, I was a little disappointed in Boma breakfast though.
Will be happy to answer any questions.
We did book bounce back for next year, and am already missing the mouse.
Have fun to those leaving soon.
