Just back from our trip, and not writing a "formal" report. But will give a quick report on the resorts & answer any questions.

WONDER: We had terrible weather, and this being our 2nd cruise, found the "guest" and cm's not as pleasant. More than likely due to our poor weather. :rolleyes: The accomadations were GREAT. We had a great cabin. category 6, cabin 6152. It has the solid wall veranda BUT it is very oversized, located at the back of the ship.

PORS: We stayed here twice. Before and After cruise. We haven't been here since Dixie Landings was it's name. Nor had we return to "moderates" since joining the AP rate game. So I was a little nervous, but we loved DXL, and wanted to return.

Alligator Bayou Bldg #38: This is a maze back here. The building had a pretty good location, nice view of a duck pond for std. pricing. Loved the log beds. Hugh fridge, and TV! Room was very clean, and appeared very "new". Check in quick and easy. People and service great. No neighbors.

Partee Place Mansion Room, Corner Room / Water view: Got all request, again service great with great people. Room amenities again no c/o. Except: The sinks seem Low for some reason? We noticed it in AB and really after 4 days here we did. They are very narrow, and low. And I'm 5'1" so if your tall, You will really be bending over to wash your face. Also The location of the closet next to the sink (I like to hang stuff up) is in a bad spot, we did not use the sink next to it. Be careful. No problem with noise, we did have neighbors and never heard them.

PORS: We loved the sit down resturant, but found the 1 dinner @ the food court very over priced and not as good as remembered. MY sister said it was due to the low attendence no food turn over? Grounds lovely as usual. Boat availble to dtd, and rental. Ample parking. Over all we would definately return. No problem.

POLY: (our fav, deluxe, and have stayed many times). 1st time got building Samoa. 3rd floor. Quiet pool view. Very happy with location. Room clean and well maintained. Although we noticed the poor lighting in our room, in comparison to PORS? OR maybe we needed new bulbs? Poly rooms are hugh. great balcony. Small TV, & had to request fridge twice. and its still half the size as PORS. :rolleyes: Now why is that? This is the DELUXE! I guess we are not suppose to watch tv or eat in room? But I love room service. ::MickeyMo We had some issues with mousekeeping. Not with there job, or not getting towel animals, but cause we like to stay out late, and leave late am, they insisted in calling each morning and saying do you want your room done today?, will you be going out today? Come on it was only 10am. and we were there 9 nites, they did it for 9 days. Also on check in I requested extra hangers, they came for "turn down" (also requested) at 4pm and I said we just got here I don't want turn down now. But do you have the hangers? They said no I'll get them, came back with 4, said "this is all we have." Good thing I brought some. They came back at 4:30 and asked if I wanted turn down then? I said, I just told you we just got our room and our unpacking, no I don't want nothing now. (I already tipped them for the 4 hangers) (wasn't about to do it again). Out of all the buildings we have stayed in at the poly (now only missing, rapa nui, tavula, & niui) they were the most unfreindly, hurried, rude mousekeeping we have come across. I thought I was back at the contempary. :rolleyes: It wasn't just this insident, in the hall they didn't talk to you, or move when people with a buggy would go by, or luggage. Just not the usual? Noise: Poly has the thiniest walls. Our room had NO connecting door, so it was by far the quietiest poly room we ever had, unfortunately that's not saying alot. Our neighbors had a problem with letting the kids jump on the beds repeatly, and run up and down the room and out the balcony, very noisey and our beds shook! :rolleyes: I can't image what the people on the 2nd floor thought was going on up there on 3rd floor. It would start at 7 am and go every time they would be in the room, till the kids fell asleep. But I never heard anyone yell, or tell them to stop. Just the jumping and running, so the voices didn't come through. Our other neighbors never heard at all. :) Will we return to the poly, oh yes, planning late august now. :smooth:

We are simular in the fact since we have done the AP rate game we've been doing deluxe. That changed last january when we took a quick trip. In November we had less then a stellar stay at AKL, our favorite. I was having a hard time justifing going back to AKL and then decided on PO-R. We loved it! My only complaint was the double beds but we got over it. We loved having the surry bikes, boat to DTD, carriage rides and overall dare I say it. :earseek: . better landscaping.... Yes a sav view is awesome UNLESS its the people pen...

DisOrBust: We haven't tried AKL yet, but were thinking about it, maybe we will wait for a while! Yes, PORS does maintain its charm. I am torn between the bayou & mansion areas. The bayou rooms are so enchanting BUT a maze! I got lost 3 times! :rolleyes: The mansion are is straight forward, more direct and beauitful buildings, but the rooms are more sedate. I wish you could get the bayou room in the mansion building! :cloud9: But not sure what they would call that. We purposely stayed in both sides to see which we prefered but I still am not sure. :confused3

Enjoy your AP! ::MickeyMo

Ooh, I have third floor Samoa requested on my reservation for next month. Should I keep it, or would you recommend changing my request? Also, what if you had milk or something that needed to be refrigerated??? I just thought they were already in the rooms. ??

No, I liked Samoa as a building. It has a good location. The quiet pool side is quietier. But either side is nice. I didn't request a side, just 3rd floor, samoa building. I just prefered some of the mousekeeper's we have had in some of the other buildings, figi was outstanding, with aotoaroa next. That was the only problem with the building, samoa. The other nuanaces are the same in all of the poly's buildings. IE= noise, lighting. I liked that samoa was a smaller building than tokelau, less people walking through, etc.. ... decreases noise. Tokelau is in a great location too but seems to have a lot of noise (at least when we have been in there). My favorite so far is FIGI but I like being closer to the quiet pool.

Fridge: We requested on check in and then it wasn't there, so I called mousekeeping when we got our room. We checked in at 9am and room not ready (due to request) and room not ready till 3:35pm so I thought it might be there when we got in, but it wasn't so I called and they said they didn't know about it, but would be right up. and they where there in about 30 minutes. The fridge in the POLY is very small, the very small type dorm room fridge, not the size one the moderates are using. So if you get milk etc.. get smaller bottles that can lay down on side to fit. But you are probably better off not going to the store till you are in your room and have the fridge, that is what we did.

Have a great time. Enjoy samoa! ::MickeyMo
