Just back...WL was WONDERFUL!!!!!

We were at the Lodge last week for 5 nights of pure joy! Started off great when we walked into our room to find out that we were upgraded from "Standard View" to "Courtyard/Pool View." It was such a surprise! We absolutely loved the resort and the location with the convenience of the boats to MK and Contemporary with access to the monorail.

We had a wonderul time and the whole trip was worth it just to see my 23 month old son's face light up when he met Mickey! We thought he was going to hyperventilate when he couldn't catch his breath from his excitement. If anyone thinks 2 is too young to go to Disney...think again. It was the most magical vacation ever!

Can't wait to go back to WDW and the WL. Hopefully soon!

Could you please tell me: Did you go to MK EMH on Sunday? I'd imagine you probably hit early LOEMH with your children at their age. How were the crowds at MK and what days did you go?

We haven't tried WL yet but aim to resolve that shortly.

We went to MK on Wednesday to make the LOEMH. It was incredible. We walked on every ride during that hour in Fantasy Land and there were characters everywhere playing games with the kids. The crowds were very light and we waited 15 minutes at the most all week for any ride.

We're booked at the WL for December 2008 - that will be our first time there! Can't wait!!!

GREAT! Wonderful to hear! We are considering going soon but the guides keep saying avoid EMH parks (both early and late.)

Sounds like it's still worth it, at least in September.

Congratulations on the upgrade! That's great when that happens. Did you request it at check-in, or did you find out you had been upgraded when you arrived at your room?

We were there last week as well. We originally booked a woods view and was upgraded to a courtyard as well.

I didn't request anything special or ask about upgrades at all. We were just very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room. Hope everyone going soon has a great trip and enjoys the WL as much as we did. Don't forget to rub Humphrey's nose!

We will be staying at WL for the first time this Dec as well. We originally picked it for my mother (her dream is to live in a cabin in the mountains), but the more I learn the more excited I get!

I'm jealous. I would love stay there during Christmas. I've seen pictures of the lodge at Christmas and it is beautiful.

Thank you so much for the positive info about WL. We will be starting our split stay there 9/25 for three nights then moving over to BCV for the remainder of our stay. I really wanted to stay at WL for my birthday This will be our first stay there, but we visit it every time we go to WDW.

Did you take advantage of the boat ride to the MK or did you use the bus system to TTC and then hop on the monorail?

Great to hear such good things about WL. Staying for the first time in Dec. 2008! It will be my kids first trip to Disney. My DH and I can't wait to see their faces when they see the castle for the first time!
