Just back with 3 "Magical Moments" certificates!

We got one for being the first riders of the morning in the rear seat on Big Thunder. After we got off, a CM took us straight to Splash, in through the exit, bypassing the line.

My husband and I each got a certificate in January from the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney. We played a game with a cast member called What's for Lunch?
She had a bunch of stuff on her cart and we had to figure out which item would be picked by which character to have for lunch.
It was fun.
(We are both in our 40's)

My best friend and I were on a girls only trip about 5 years ago, when we got one. We were at the Christmas shop in DD, and bought our annual Christmas ornament and were having them personalized. I think we just got it because we were having such a nice talk with the CM! :D

I love our family trips, but girls only are the WAY TO GO! ::yes::

We were the 100th family of the day at the Plaza Restaurant. :) We got the certificate and a free 8x10 photo. :)

I would like to know how you got to be the viking of the day?

On the ride Maelstrom in Norway at Epcot I had read about "Viking of the day" but I didn't really know the details. We had just got done eating at the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Akershus. (I had been trying for weeks to get a PS for that day with no success, so we tried to just walk up to the podeum and ask and in 3 min we were seated! Whole other story.) Anyway after we ate we went over to the ride. It had been open for about 45 min already. We went in and while we were boarding I jumped in front of the CM with arms on hips with an "in your face" kind of attitude with my DD still wearing her princess dress with me and asked "So tell me what is Viking of the Day?" He replied back "Are you the Viking of the day?" I quickly came back with " I could be, ooorrrrr maybe it could be my princess daughter. Tell me what it is." I still didn't know! He asked my princess's name and by then we needed to board. I got on the boat and thought to myself "WHAT THE H*** IS VIKING OF THE DAY!" I was about to find out. When the ride was over the boat stopped and the CM's made a big fuss over there "Honoray Princess Viking of the Day". They gave her the certificate stating just that. It was very cute. I guess they just pick someone randomly. It wasn't like we were the first one's on in the morning. Maybe it was my "in your face, have fun with the CM's attitude that did it. I'm still not sure.

My DD(12) got one for being assisstant goat trainer at AK. We were near the petting zoo area and saw a CM training a pygmy goat on a stage by herself. It wasn't a show, she was just working with the goat. We went to watch because DD has two pygmy goats at home and they definitely are not trained. The CM was very nice to DD. She helped her work with the goat for a long time. She had a "clicker" to tell the goat when she did good and treats for the goat. It was great!

We bought DD a clicker when we got home, but her goats still aren't trained!

We got one last trip at the AK safari for being "The best prepared for a 2 week safari"

They left it in our stroller. I guess they were impressed by our double stroller stuffed with bags, food, jackets, etc LOL

:hyper: HILARIOUS.....HILARIOUS. Hope I find it just as funny when I'm toting my toddler & infant's gear around on my upcoming trip.

My Dad and my ex-husband got one at Eagle Pines, they had the first tee time of the day. My Dad who was 76 at the time thought it was the coolest thing, they brought the Mickey Golf Cart and took them to the 18th green to pick the pin placement of the day. They each got a certificate and a sign was left on the green all day w/ their names & hometown saying they picked the placement.

Of course this was the day they didn't have a camera with them.

Just how big are these?

A4 size?

Credit card size?

Any chance of a pic or scan please :wave2:

The one's I have are all the basic 8 1/2" X 11". I did however see a CM with smaller ones (about 4" x 5") at AK. She was giving them out to "Junior Safari guides" that were waiting for the parade. The kids earned them by naming the animals in the photo's she had.

I am not very computer savy and I don't own a digital camera. If someone else has one and the knowhow to download one for BONZO it would save me trying to figure out how to scan and download it for him. If not I guess it's time for me to learn!

Bonzo,
You might know this already, and if you do, I beg your pardon, but if not, I hope it's helpful....8 1/2 x 11 is just a tad bit smaller than A4. It's inches. And it's the standard copy size in the US.

I've never gottena certicficate so I can't help with a photo, but just wanted to clarify the size for you sinc eyou asked.

OK, now all you DISers know it was I who planned the most excellent Christmas trip to WDW for brother's family and two of my three children and my DH. This trip included breakfast with Cindy's, at least two front of monorail rides, CP with dinner at LeCellier, Boma, 'Ohana, an Illuminations cruise,... you get the drift. Now where was I when my brother's family and my DS15 were picked for the Kali Tower Tour at AK? Doing the laundry!!!

The CMs at Kali said they were looking for a family, and took them all on a tour of the control tower and hidden cameras on the Kali ride. Apparently they learned cool stuff, got a magic moments certificate and PINS! Luckily my brother gave me his pin--jealousy might have made me break that 9th commandment!

Ours was for our 5th anniversary.

We were standing in line waiting for the Beauty and the Beast stage show - about 20 minutes before showtime - when a CM came out and asked if anyone present was celebrating an anniversary or birthday.

We were led to the front row - a roped-off section - and before the show, we were called up to the stage where the pre-show performers (a boy band) serenaded us.

The certificate is beautiful! Only regret for us was this was the day DH, DD, and I did MGM on our own and left all the family members behind so no one was there to take pictures or video and of course, we didn't think to ask anyone:crazy:

Thanks for the info on sizing everyone!

SnoWhiteRabbit - thanks - I can picture the size now.

We got one when we opened the Magic Kingdom.
Here is what it looked like:

Excellent!

Many thanks for posting.

Thank you Shells9 for posting the photo of your certificate. I like the way it appears to have the info printed on instead of hand written like mine. Also pretty neat that Mickey Mouse himself gave it to you. Mine is just the name of the CM who filled it out.

Thanks again for saving me trying to figure it out. (Even though I still need to know! )

Wow! What a trip! We had the best time! And to top it off we ended up with 3 Magical Moments Certificate thanks to the info learned on these boards. My daughter got one for "Waking up Tinkerbell" and one for being the "Viking of the Day". Our family got one for being the "Bell Family" at the Liberty Tree Tavern Restaurant. THANK YOU EVERYONE for sharing.

I was also wondering what other people have done to receive a "Magical Moments" certificate.

I don't know, but my 31 year old boyfriend just read this and informed me he wants to be "Viking of the Day" :earsboy:

:)

I think my family was Bell Family once! :)
