We got back Wed. afternoon from 9 nights at POFQ. It was Me,DW, 3 DS's 19,21 & 23, 2 DDIL's and our 11 mo. old DGD. We had a great time. The weather was all over the spectrum, ALOT of rain the first few days but clearing off in the middle of the trip and pretty nice the rest of the time. Loved POFQ, nice and clean, good mousekeeping, Sassagoula food court was good, although a bit slow service at times, the food was excellant though. Bus service was hit and miss, I think that goes for most resorts. One day we waited over 30 min. for the bus to Animal Kingdom but overall I can't complain.
We had 9 day passes so we went to each park twice except for DHS, we covered it pretty thoroughly in one day. Never waited more than 20 min. for anything, including Toy Story Midway Mania.(rode it 3 times) The only really crowded days were Sat. 2/6, Animal Kingdom was packed and the Mon. after the Superbowl Magic Kingdom was a madhouse. We utilized our fastpasses though and didn't really have any problems.
I know there's been alot of debate on these boards about what age to first take your children so I'll share our experience with our 11 mo. old granddaughter. She was the highlight of the trip. The smile on her face when she met Pooh and Tigger are priceless. She loved riding A Small World and the Teacups and when she got tired she napped in her stroller. I know she won't remember it but the pics we got of her will last a lifetime.
We did the QS Dining plan and it was more than enough to eat. Some of my faves were Tangerine Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Ex., Cookes of Dublin and the Pot Roast at our food court was great.
Anyway, I just wanted to share some of the highlights of our trip, we had a great family vacation and we're counting the days until our 2012 trip.
