Can MYW unexpired tickets be upgraded to a DVC AP?

Hello,

I'm a bit confused about this upgrading.

We are purchasing a resale and DH already has an AP from April 2005 - waiting for ROFR.

Are you guys saying that he can upgrade to a DVC PAP and it will be cheaper than the AP we got in April?

Is this a "special" rate for DVC PAP for a limited time?

I would like to get one for our return trip in December, can it only be done on site.

I had renewed our APs in October 2004. In April 2005 I upgraded them to PAPs for $13 a piece at the guest services counter at Magic Kingdom. They stated that since the original pass was a renewal I got the renewal rate for the premium pass also. The new pass expires the same time that the old one did. This was well worth the time and money spent. We used the waterpark and Disney quest features at least 3 times that week and look forward to doing more on our next 2 visits prior to the passes expiring.

We are going on a "bonus" trip in Aug. and I would love to be able to upgrade my AP to a DVC PAP so we can do the waterparks! ( ours expire the end of Sept) But, I am confussed?? Can I do this or not? Would love some advise!

My DW and I upgraded our AP's purchased in December, 2004 before the discount with the DVC discounted PAP's in May and received our $10 and change at the MK Guest Relations window with no problems. Unfortunately, we did not take advantage of the "premium" part yet, but we plan to go to Pleasure Island in December before they expire.

Hi all,

I just got back on 7/1 and I did upgrade my AP to an PAP. I had originally bought my AP back on 8/31/04. I went to the MK guest relations window because our friends who we were there with upgraded successfully there. That was a no go, I said thanks and walked away. I went to DTD Guest relations window and the lady there told me that they shouldn't really upgrade, but she would be will to upgrade but will not refund us any money. I was happy with that and upgraded.
