Just back- trip July1-9

We got back late Sunday night. It was a great trip!!! We had only 1 afternoon with maybe a 1/2 hour rain. It was extremely crowded, but with following TGM and using fastpasses we never waited longer then 15 minutes for a ride. We hope to go back in 2 or 3 years, hopefully at a different time of the year. There were lots of tour groups (of teens or college kids) that made part of the trip aggravating. I am sure there are lots of respectful groups, but the ones we ran into were terribly rude. We stayed at POR...it was okay.

We ate in the castle - fun! We ate at the Crystal Palace - even more fun!

I am sad to be home, but all good things must come to an end. If you have questions, please ask. I am not a WDW pro, but I would be glad to try to answer any questions!

Welcome back! Glad you had a good time! We are leaving the end of the month and I was wondering if you found certain days at each park to be least crowded? Or did you just do the EMH's??? Thanks!

We avoided the evening EMH. We noticed that around 5:00 on an evening EMH the crowds started becoming unenjoyable. We definitely used the EMH mornings with great success. At Magic Kingdom, we were able to get on all the rides at Fantasyland before the park opened to non resort guests. But even without the morning EMH, if you get there early (at any park) you get a ton done. In any of the parks, it did not get crowded until apx. 10:30.

And no...we did not do any of the water parks. We did not buy that option on our passes....however, once we were there, we wish we would have. It was very hot. Not unbearable (but I love the heat.) We did swim at the resort every day. But we noticed that the pool was not refreshing because the water was too warm. But the kids had fun!

We were there last week too. 6/30 - 7/8. The lines were not unreasonable, I think the longest one was for Peter Pan. We did use fast passes for Buzz Lightyear and Lights, Motors, Action but I think that was about it.

We usually left the parks at around noon and went back to the resort for the pool.

Thursday on the way from the airport it rained so hard you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you
Friday I don't remember if it rained or not.
Saturday at AK it poured while we were in Tarzan Rocks.
Sunday I think there was a little rain
Monday there was a lot of lightning after the 4th of July fireworks but it onluy drizzled.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning there was no rain at all.

It was hot though but not unbearable except for Mon when we took the fishing trip out behind the Yacht Club. 2 hours on the water and I think we sweated enough to raise the water levels a little.

Didin't run into many unruly group tours but there were a lot of tours there.

All in all we had a fantastic trip and can't wait to go back next year.
