Just back - some yay! - some 'not-so-much'

I just found out there will be a new meet and greet area in HS in "spring."

This will not include March. Not sure of opening date, but it will include Olaf, Minnie and Mickey (they were displaced from what turned into Star Wars Launch Bay).

I am so upset that this will not be ready in March. Such a bummer.

I am too big a fan to miss annual Disney Spring break trip, but just wish something "new" would be ready while we are there.

We will "just miss" all the new things. Most will open May 1st or in April.

Oh well. Maybe if everyone is thinking this way, crowds will not be so bad.

Eggstravaganza will begin March 2nd this year, so at least we will be there for that.

And of course beautiful Epcot Flower and Garden.

Our trip in Jan was a good trip, some non disney flight problems. I had been told but didn't listen, all I have to say is don't ever fly Allegiant unless you don't care care what day you get to your destination and you have researched the last 3 months news stories on maintenance, unfortunately we lived it. It is a matter of when you get stuck not if.

Jambo Concierge was amazing!!!!!!!! They were rock stars!!!!
House keeping was great!!!!!! Heck she even cleaned the hair out of my dads comb lying by the sink. Above and beyond!!!!!!!!!
In 10 days we never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus except once and it was 10 minutes, luck was on our side!!!!!!

Front desk at Jambo to me was fine but I was paying down on our bill and I was the only one there as they ran the gift cards. 3 of them were doing nothing and there was no line. This was right before the big Storm hit DC and a lady that was staying there walked up and asked about getting rooms as she was not getting out of MCO for 3 days but she couldn't spend the deluxe price so wanted to see if there were any openings at other Disney hotels. The guy she asked if he could help said in a matter of fact manner, nope you have to call Disney reservations. The poor lady was already stressed out and he was rude. Then when she walked away he said to the other lady at the front desk, "I guess I probably could have helped her and looked them up but ahhhhhh". That was not the Disney service I expect heck there was no line and nobody there. I stood there for another 10 minutes while he did nothing but talk to the other front desk person. Opportunity for Disney magic missed.

If you had the guy's name, you could've reported it. Disney is really good about recognizing cast members who are doing a great job and wants to know about those who don't.

I am like you, I expect the best from Disney!

Wow! Just wow, not what I expect from Disney at all!

Two words: "Hello, Hilton."

Yes, more foreigners on my past trip at the end of January than I ever recall. Not that there is anything wrong with that; it's Disney! Everyone wants to visit!

But, I would say most, if not all, of the rudeness that I saw or experienced was from foreign guests.

Lots & lots of foreigners. We were shopping at the Florida Mall last weekend and there were tons of them with Mickey hats, princess dresses and the like.
Very, very rude too. Cut the line in front of us three times. One woman tried to plow us down.

Ouch... How much delayed were you with your airline? Hours or days? I know some of their schedules are only one flight twice a week.

Over a day, but they did let us fly later the second day but they were low on potable water so they asked we go to the bathroom before we got on the plane and limit use of bathrooms on the plane for the duration of the flight. It is just not worth the direct flight and slightly cheaper amount.

We returned 2 weeks ago. I have been 7 out of the past 10 years. I have to admit I wasn't all that excited to go. After my 2015 trip I had decided I needed to take a few years away to hopefully feel the magic again. My dad really wanted to go as he hadn't been in 2 years. So, I went along. We were staying at the poly villas which totally excited me. After this trip even my dad agreed it's just not the same. We didn't feel the magic. It was uncomfotably crowded, construction was everywhere, and we felt like we were in a rat race for 5 days. The best part of our vaca was time spent at the resorts. We all noticed that WDW was showing more signs of wear and tear than it ever had. For instance the boats all had chipping paint. 10 years ago that would never have been allowed. The CM's were not overly "happy" but were just indifferent amusement park employees. I guess thats how I know I need a break...it has become just a very crowded amusement park to me :(
