We got back late last night from our 5 days Disney trip. I was there with my two DD's, ages 17 and 15. Our first night we went to MVMCP (our 4th time in 10 years). We had a great time. The longest we waited for any ride (except 7DMT) was 25 minutes for PP, with most being about 10 minutes. We did wait for Sandy Claws, which was awesome. We also did the Wishes Dessert party. This was perfect for us as we do not do the parades, so it didn't matter that we couldn't see the route, but got to sit and eat desserts right up until the Castle light show started and then front row with no one in front of us. The dance party in Cosmic Ray's was a lot of fun, even for my teens.

We LOVED our Magic Bands. We had one issue with our hotel door which we thought was the bands, but come to find out (after 3 trips to the front desk!) that it was the sensor in the door! It was frustrating when we had just come back from a long morning at the park and just wanted to rest. An "engineer" came up and fixed it an hour later and it worked fine that night. THEN, the next day, when we got back from the park, the SAME problem! Manager apologized but it was still frustrating.

FP+ was great for us as I'm a planner. We did mostly afternoon passes except for HS and we didn't do Epcot mornings. I was able to switch some passes quickly on our last day with no problem. We had a Pirates pass but the wait was only 10 minutes and the girls wanted to go on HM which was 20 minutes, so I quickly got on MDE and switched the passes. We were also planning to go to Epcot the last day and I was able to pick up FP's for MK that morning for Space, PP and Pirates (then HM). Very easy.

Dining was good. Crystal Palace breakfast was not what it used to be. Sci Fi was fun as always, Coral Reef not as good as usual, and QS meals good. The best was BOG dinner. Absolutely awesome! Food delicious, service great and the setting stunning. And I got to meet the BEAST! We had lunch FP's, but were so full from CP that we cancelled it.

POFQ was great as always. No problems and everyone was very helpful. I'm very sad as I believe this was my last trip with my kids, at least until they have their own kids. Luckily we used Memory Maker and got some great pictures. We were especially excited for our Sandy Claws and Marie pictures...my daughters had wanted to meet them ever since we started going in 2004!

We must have been staying at POFQ at the same time. We also just got back yesterday from a wonderful stay there. I usually love magic bands and FP+ but there were a few things that happened throughout the week. When we went to BOG for lunch, we had preordered a month ago to skip the kiosk lines. All was good until the CM brought us to the screen to take the credits from our bands. The CM was from our hometown so he was distracted talking with us. He ended up wiping out all of my snack credits from my band. It was our first full day there. My sister and her DH got their food as soon as we sat. Mine never came. We waited and waited. They were done eating by the time I got my meal. Something went wrong with the band again. The manager came and apologized and gave us all fp's for the mistake.

Then on our 4th night, we had dinner at Yak & Yeti (which was awesome btw!). Our server accidentally scanned mine and my sisters bands since we were on separate dining plans. He charged all 3 TS credits to my band so I lost 3 credits! I didn't even notice it on the reciept since I just signed it and called it a day at each meal. Definitely will check from now on in the future. It was noticed until the next night at 1900 Park Fare when the waiter said I had no TS credits left. But my sisters DP had extras so we used those since thats what most likely happened. They took mine and gave them extras.

Besides that, everything worked well. Parks were more crowded than usual during this time. Our meals were awesome! With the exception of 1900 PF. Wasn't too thrilled with the food. The Garden Grill was amazing and our best meal of the trip! I have read so many negative reviews but we had a great time and the food was amazing! The characters came around more than once and we had a table in an outer booth which was nice! Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast was awesome! HDDR was an amazing time as always.. our table was right at the stage. Cape May Cafe dinner was so good! And Yak & Yeti was amazing and the dessert was even better! We did Akershus for breakfast and it was really good but $45 a person for breakfast is a bit steep!

The highlight of the trip was MVMCP on the 16th! I wasn't sold out and the park was wonderful crowd wise! After the 1st parade, I walked on everything except SDMT. I did everything 6 times in a row! It was awesome and the park felt empty!

Great review. Thanks!!! We are going in May and like you we have a 16 & 13 year old. I fear this will be our last trip. The kids are very excited and we are trying the water parks this time as well. We are staying at Coronado Springs and I am hoping the room does not feel cramped. Four people and one bathroom. Wow it will be tight. I'm glad you had a wonderful trip.

What time did you get in line and how long was the wait for Sandy Claws? :santa:

We were told that he wouldn't start seeing people until 7, so we didn't go to check out the line until 6:30, but he had already started! We jumped in line and it took about an 80 minutes. We've never waited that long for anything in WDW, but my daughter HAD to see him.

BTW...they started letting people in before 4. We got there around 3:45 and got right in! And lucky that we did as we had our 7DMT FP's for 3:10-4:10 and got there with 10 minutes to spare!

Thanks! I had heard he starts around 6:15. I have a FP for PP at 4:10 and 7DMT at 4:15-5:15. I'm planning on heading to Jack after that.

Good to know they let you in before four...we too have a FP time tgat ends at 4:15 and I've been trying to change it because I was worried we wouldn't get through admission gate soon enough. I think I'll keep it now.

You will be fine. We attended a sold out party yesterday. We arrived at 3:45 and got right in. If you do that, you'll have no problem making your FP.
