We were at Disney 11/5-11/12. This was my 24th visit, but there always seems to be something new to try.

The Noodle place at Tomorrowland Terrace was excellent. DW and I both had the vegetarian tofu noodle bowl. To be honest, we probably could have shared one as they are HUGE and quite filling, a really good value for $6.79 and a nice change from the typical fast food fare.

The new food court at The Land is very nice, not as homey as the old place but rather sleek and modern, much more upscale looking and a very interesting variety of food choices. I had the grilled Cuban sandwich. DW had one of the salads which was very good. I like how there is one checkout for all the counters now so if each of you want different things, you don't have to split up and stand in 3 seperate lines.

Goofy's Candy store at DTD is great. They have a new system for caramel apples, dipped giant Oreos, rice krispy treats, etc. You get a menu and pick your item, your dip and your toppings and they make it for you to order. Fun and neat to watch, even if you aren't actually buying anything.

50's Prime Time - I know this is an old favorite but we were diapppointed. We found the food choices somewhat limited and very overpriced, even by Disney standards. I got the fried fish sandwich which was very good but $13. Just too much IMO.

BOMA - A joy as always.

That's all that comes to mind right now.

We loved this place too! The food was delicious and the price was right! The seating area is adequate too - and it was a GREAT place to wait out the thunderstorm!!!

I also like the new food court at The Land - although lots of others don't share that opinion :confused3

I share it - I know lots of people loved the old food court, but I couldn't stand it, and I'm crazy about the new one. :cool1:

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

Despite my review, I'm generally a Disney purist and hate when they change things that didn't need changing, but I just think they got this one right and did a really nice job with it.

Thanks for the reviews. I agree with you about the new food court at the Land. I liked the food there so much, I ate there twice last trip.

I'm really looking forward to stopping by Goofy's Candy Store in a couple of weeks - yum!

I haven't gotten my nerve up to try the Noodle place yet, but after reading so many positive reviews, I may give it a try this time.

We ate at the Noodle Place in Tomorrowland too, and found the portions to be too large! DH and I both left half our meals behind because it was so much!

Thanks, Steve! I was just trying to figure out some counter serve places for my January trip with my DD. We're vegetarian and I'll make sure we try the vegie noodle bowl (we'll share). We'll be on the dining plan so that plus the dessert and a drink should be perfect!

Sorry about the Prime Time Cafe. That's always a must do for us, but it will be closed when we are there.

We'll try out the new Land food court. How are the vegie offerings there?

Just looking at the menu and realize that the Cuban sandwich is vegie. How is it prepared and what kind of vegies were on it?

Grilled veggies with melted cheese on an Italian roll. What veggies? Who knows? The usual, I suppose: eggplant, peppers, tomato, onion, probably a couple of others I'm not remembering now. It was tasty and filling.

Steve, I was :rotfl: over your "What veggies? Who knows?" comment! I'm only asking because I'm trying to figure out if it's something my DD would also enjoy. She's not overly picky (thankfully I'm not bringing my picky eater 12yo--that was sure a joy last January ;) ).

Are a lot of these counter service meals enough for 2 people to share if they don't have too big of an appetite? Neither of us do and I'd rather eat more, smaller meals (and be able to try out more food, albeit a smaller quantity) than to stuff myself at each meal.

All I can say is DITTO DITTO DITTO!

:)

Tigger&Belle, you'll find that the noodle bowl is HUGE. I'm dying to go back.

On a side note, don't do like I did and dribble down your front. I have a favourite black polo shirt which has a stain from Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace which I can't get out (even though it's black). There was something awfully powerful in that soup, although it was excellent!

If there is a remote chance that I'll dribble it down the front of me I most certainly will figure out a way to do so! :rotfl: So it's more soup-like than noodles? I'm confused, but of course that happens easily... ;)

Absoultely. We often share meals. We may get 2 meals for the 3 of us. Or we'll get one appetizer and one main course for DW and me. Or we'll get one combo (sandwich and fries) and one just sandwich and share the order of fries. And remember adults can order kids meals.

It is a deep styrofoam bowl with rice noodles, tofu, bok choy, carrots and mushrooms along with a veggie broth. There is more stuff than broth but you do need a spoon, though I also used a fork to pick up the noodles easier.
