just back, POR review

let me start by saying we have stayed at POR many times and went out of our way to make sure we stayed there this time. we may never stay there again. we found the room dirty, buildup in the corners, something that looked like a thumb under a bed, we didn't get close enough to make sure. the food court selections have gotten worse, dining plan thing? the bus service is what stood out the most. MGM return bus station is 14 one evening about half way through EMH the line was snaked all the way through 14 and all the way back to 11. lots of people were real mad. they finally pulled some buses and for a while there were two buses at a time picking up at 14. this is only one situation, things like this happened throughout the stay. this is the first time ever that we have been disappointed in a stay anywhere on property. any specific questions i will be happy to answer them.
Sorry about your stay. I also had issues with the transportation.
 
Well, we will be at POR in less than three weeks & I am very excited!! We've stayed at CSR & loved it but wanted to try something new & POR seemed to get very good ratings. I'm sure that in our 13 day stay, we may need to contact housekeeping for something, maybe extra coffee or pillows, maybe to vacuum or something & we will have no problem asking them to do something. Honestly, if we walk in & the room is a dump, we will say something but on the other hand, we are not really that hard to please!! Clean sheets, enough towels, coffee, working fridge, hot water & digit free....:lmao:

Well put. Hotel staff aren't mind readers. I always go in expecting things to be fine, but if they aren't, it's a 3 second call to request a correction...much better than "suffering" and then posting away after returning.

We had a wonderful visit at POR in Aug. Our housekeeper was very nice, hardworking. She genuinely cared about our stay.
 
We are there in Oct. It's our 4 th stay in POR and believe me my wife is paranoid when it comes to cleanliness but we've never had cause to complain about POR in the past.
We are going to enjoy it,if things need sorting,I'm sure a quick call will put it right.
I hope we don't get the room with the rest of the corpse in..:banana: :rotfl2:

I don't know why everyone is attacking the OP for posting their opinion of the resort. Don't they have the right to post without being attacked because they didn't contact management?

Flaming is when someone is insulted personally, called names, had their intelligence brought into question, or any number of other very unpleasant things. I haven't seen anywhere close to that sort of thing in this thread.

I have, however, seen plenty of disagreeing. It's ok for people to disagree. As long as nobody is making personal insults, that's ok! Sometimes people disagree in a discussion thread.

Seems like people on the DIS are pretty thin-skinned. If you guys saw any of the real attacking and flaming that goes on around the internet you'd probably have a heart attack. :surfweb:
