We just got back last night from 5 days in the World ~~ there were virtually NO crowds anywhere (well, except for yesterday when it was pouring-World of Disney at the Marketplace was jammed!) It was great :cool1:

We walked onto rides at every one of the parks ~ Soarin' (twice right in a row), Mission Space, ToT, RnR, all 3 mountains at MK, Safari, Dinosaur (these were all in one day!)..... didn't really matter what time of the day it was; there still were basically no lines. The only wait was the time it took to walk from the entrance to the loading area.

Did more walking this time than normal since we didn't have to spend any time waiting in lines.

AWW I wanna go back so bad.......I might go for the day without the kids.....I am going to Ocala to visit my Mom and its 45 Min from Orlando So I might just have to go!!!! Thanks for the Info!! Glad you had a good time thats How I Love to visit when theres no lines! princess:

This time of year is so great for a Disney trip! :) Last week we found our longest wait to be for a bus from MK to Saratoga Springs. :confused3 Last Friday at the MK we did have to wait for Space Mt. and BTR because they only had one side operating. CM's said Fridays are always busy at MK. The other days, like you, everything was walk-on. It was so great to get curb-side seats for the parades 10 minutes before they started! Great weather, too! We're going to keep pulling kids out of school as long as possible. Luckily, they are good students. We're going again in June. I think our winter trips have spoiled us. We'll definitely have bigger lines then. ;)

Isn't the Winter Value Season awesume?  We first experianced the winter value season in 2003 and just got home a week ago from our fourth winter value season trip to the world.

I know its hit or miss, but what was the weather like - warm enough to swim?

Thanks,
Linda

That sounds great! That's my kind of trip! :thumbsup2

So what attractions were closed this time of year?

The weather varied from day to day. Wednesday was in the upper 70's - lots of people by the pool; mostly kids IN the pool :) Tuesday & Thursday were a bit cooler with some wind, but still quite nice. We had arrived Monday when it was drizzling and left Friday when it was pouring!

The weather in the "winter" months changes frequently. On many of our trips in December & January it can be shorts one day and 'hats & gloves cold' the next. But, crowd-wise, it's a great time to visit :)

In Epcot, Test Track was closed & in the MK, Buzz Lightyear was closed. Those are the only 2 I can think of (since of course those are 2 we like!).
Those both open again in February.

Wow......sounds like you picked a great week. :thumbsup2

I will be going at the end of January next year so I am glad to hear there are no crowds during this time. We usually go in December, but we are waiting one extra month this time!

Sooooooooooo jealous!
With two teachers, we always travel when it's mobbed. Still, we're at DISNEY!!!

I agree it's a good time to go. We where there last year at this time.

Are you saying it is only 45 minutes from Ocala to Orlando? We live a little south of Ocala, and it is 86 miles from our front door to the main gate off of route 4. Do you know a quicker way other then 75?

We will be there on wed. I hope we have the same experence with the crowds.

Thanks for posting. We will be there the same time next year. Love low crowds especially with kids! :cheer2:

Ya know...when you put the pedal to the metal and let it roar you can do it in 45 minutes... Its just 115 mph down I-75 and the Turnpike and the Turnpike extension!

Just kidding...doesn't the new extension slice mebbe 10 miles off? So if you did say 85 mph all the way you could do it in between 45 minutes and an hour. Not that anyone should go 85 mph down 192...its just a theory.
