I am not sure if anyone else has posted this.....We were at the MNSSHP on the 12th. We happened to be walking by Stitch when a very important looking person asked if we would like to try it! He said they were only going to run it once that evening. (Did they do this during other MNNSHP's???) Of course I got the child sitting duties so I didn't get to see it firsthand but I did get everyone's thoughts on it. I REALLY wanted to do it too. :( Oh well....

The general consensus was that it was a good attraction but they said Alien Encounter was better. My sister, BIL and DH thought is was really geared for children yet they still have the same seats where each person is individually strapped into. My 4 year old would have been scared. My twin 5 year old neices went in and they loved it. I was told that Stitch burps up a disgusting chili dog which smells horrid. He jumps all over the place and he is on your shoulders at one point and his claws press into your shoulder. He spits at you too.

My sister said the room was filled with imagineers and when it was over she felt bad that she wasn't in love with it so she clapped with the crowd.... :( She kept saying that kids would love it though. I am happy to hear that kids will enjoy it.

I guess I have to wait till 2005 to try it for myself!

OH BTW MNSSHP was AWESOME!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We got to do a trial-run, too -- it was on the 14th right before MNSSHP.

The 3 of us (dh, 11yo ds and me) didn't enjoy it. Dh said it was basically a revamped, "Stitch-ified" AE (I'd never done that attraction).

He did say that the shoulder restraints had changed. Instead of being ones that come down and lock in place, they now have ones that lower onto your shoulders. I *hated* them. I felt completely claustrophobic and couldn't move. There is one part in the ride when Stitch "jumps" up and down on the restraint and ds and I actually found it painful.

And that burp -- OMGoodness, it was AWFUL.

All 3 of us agreed that we were glad to get to try it but we never need to do it again.

Do you know if there is a height restriction on the ride?

...over the loss of AE. I was not a fan of AE - I was scared to DEATH! I sat huddled as close to my DH as I could be, softly sobbing to myself, with my fingers jammed three knuckles deep in to my ears, humming "It's a Small World"! Although I didn't enjoy it, I understand that there is a niche of people who did. It will be interesting to see it as a Stitch attraction!

How cool that your family got to see it firsthand! That would be awesome! I would love to take a new Pal Mickey for a test drive in Dec - I'm not that lucky though :(

And yes, MNSSHP is the best! I am going to try MVMCP in Dec - I hope I like it as much as MNSSHP!

It's a shame it was disappointing to your sister. I'm seeing a lot of similar reviews, and my own sister, who loves Stitch, will be disappointed if that's the case.

Can I make a suggestion for everyone who might be in future previews (especially those with imagineers present)?? If you don't like it, don't pretend you like it. This is the imagineers' chance to find out what gets good audience reaction and what doesn't. Unless they get honest feedback, the attraction isn't going to improve.

I only went on AE once. I thought it was interesting, but not something I would get back in line for

Yes I know, I wish that the imagineers could have gotten a "real" reaction as well. They (Disney) may get a better indication of what people think if guests could fill out a short survey or something. Guests may feel more comfortable saying what they really think if it could be done without the people who worked so hard on the attraction right there. My sister said that she felt bad for them...

I can tell you that my neices (both age 5) really liked it and the adults just thought it was "okay" I was bummed to hear that b/c I had high hopes that it was going to be really great.

The adults also said that Stitches nails were painful, just as a previous poster said.....:(
