Hi guys,

Just back from our week long and second trip this year so thought I'd post the highs and lows

HIGHS
WEATHER - high 70's, low 80's all week, low humidity and not a spot of rain
MNSSHP - excellent night out as always SEAWORLD & AQUATICA .... spotlessly clean with very low wait times at each (straight on dolphin plunge!)
BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR at Seaworld ... Good value at $29 pp, very interesting and got to stroke a penguin
DISCOVERY COVE .... Beautiful as always
US AIRWAYS .... First time indirect for us and only way forward if price is right - seat back TVs from LHR but no alcohol, other than wine with meal, which was fine.
BOGGY CREEK AIRBOATS ... First time ever ... Did the hour trip at East Lake and it was so much fun, highly recommended
SHOPPING .... OMG 2 pairs of knee high 9 West boots for 78 quid ... Need I say more
JET LAG ... None whatsoever, maybe due to there being only 4 hours difference and a 7 day holiday so less time to get into the USA zone.

LOWS
POOL .... heater not working for 5 days but thankfully hot tub was so not really a low, more of an inconvenience
CHILLIs ... First disappointing meal ever ... Ribs were just awful and server couldn't care less, needless to say she only made $7 tip and was lucky to get that
SUMMER TRADE OFF ..... Evenings were cooler and park hours shorter but to be expected.

In conclusion .... Was worried about just doing the week but it worked out just fine, in fact it felt longer than it should have done. I wouldn't sacrifice my longer summer trip as I like my warm summer nights and longer park hours but as an extra week it was just perfect!

Any questions fire away.

Sharon

Sounds like you had a great time :goodvibes

I agree a week is just fine if you get to have another trip as well :thumbsup2

Thankfully we have always had good meals at Chili's but relatives had their worst meal there in August. If the server couldn't care less it would be no tip from me.:rotfl:

We try to go for 9 nights minimum but have done 7 no problem.:goodvibes

Glad you had a good time

We did just a week. Ideally prefer longer but our week also felt longer - I think you hit the ground running as a regular visitor.

We've flown US airways a few times in the past and would do again.

Glad you had a good time! Hoping the weather stays similar for me next week!

Sounds like a fabulous trip and, like others, I agree that a week can be plenty of time as long as you don't try to cram too much in. We just got back at the weekend and all said that this was the most perfect weather we'd ever had at Disney - lovely and warm, not a single drop of rain and no humidity. Other than cooler temperatures and a chilly breeze on our last day, the weather was completely perfect for the whole fortnight.

Weather was great, in fact both trips were .... Which made for 2 great holidays. Pleased to hear you had a fab time too xx

I think you hit the nail on the head there ... We did hit the ground running with DC on our first day. As repeat visitors it worked well but would be no good for a first timer,

Same here, never had a bad meal there until this one .... They'd changed the interior too, which was too open plan and impersonal. Car park was virtually empty which should have set alarm bells ringing.

Decided to give Chillis Yoo in Charlotte one last try, our food was ok but the poor lady on the table next to us spat our a big shard of glass from her Chocolate Molten Cake .... Looked like the top of a Sam Adams bottle

Agree with this! Our last trip was 9 days and felt quite long and very relaxing, mainly due to not having to cram so much in because we've done it year on year :)

Glad you had a good time - we did new york with a 4 hour time difference and it's surprising how much of a difference it makes to jet lag!

Sounds like a "Lawyers-4-U" job..Wheres theres blame theres a claim!:rotfl2:

I'm pleased to hear you still thought SeaWorld was worth a visit. I've been so unsure since the whole 'Blackfish' thing, but it's good to hear someone speak positive about it, as I love visiting :)

Glad you had a good time:thumbsup2

Wow which mall did you use to get your 2 pairs of boots :cool1:
