Just Back from Yacht Club

We were there 10/19 through 10/22. We had the time of our lives - we were upgraded to concierge for our 25th Anniversary, which we celebrated while there. I was thrilled to death- I love that place! With the exception of MNSSHP, we didn't go to any parks, because we adore the Y/B Club, and Stormalong Bay. The weather was perfect, 85 degrees just about every day, with not a cloud in the sky! And the water in SAB was nice and warm, very comfortable.

We didn't even miss the kids one bit (in all fairness, they are 14, 16 & 23!). It was our first trip alone in 25 years, and I truly felt like a young honeymooner! I really recommend doing Disney without kids at some point, if you can.

How wonderful. YC/BC is one of the best resorts and no other hotel has that pool. So glad you had a good time. Did they give you a nice view or do anything special for your anniversary celebration?

Dear Disneyolic: SAB closed at 8:00 PM for swimming, but you could still walk around the area.

To Grumpy92: There were no special "gifts", but we had a wonderful view from our balcony, SAB and the entire Boardwalk area - it was so beautiful, I could sit on that balcony forever!

How wonderful that you had such a nice trip with your husband! I have stayed YC concierge once, and it was fabulous! I received terrific service, and I look forward to returning.

It's more than likely that it will be a while before dh and I get a WDW trip alone since our children are only 8 (next week), 10, (next month), and 13, but your post made me smile. I'll enjoy our family trips but I'll keep that image of the vacation with just the two of us in my head Glad you had a great time. Thanks for sharing!

YC concierge is my absolute favorite, their staff is just incredibly magical too

Disneyolic - SAB changes the hours constantly throughout the year, in the summer they are open later, winter earlier...etc...

We too love YC/BC! It's the only place we'll stay now. Honestly, we felt guilty about not trying different deluxe resorts, so we tried WL, GF, and CR. Can't compare any of them to the convenience of the Epcot Resort Area and my goodness....STORMALONG BAY. What a nice idea going for a few days and just enjoying the lovely resort.

Im so happy you had asuch a nice trip!! Sounds like you had the room we did on our last trip (room 5161) its the best view!!!! I swere we are so spoiled I dont know if I can stay anywhere else besides the Yacht and Concierge!! lol
