We just got back from a wonderful trip. From now on I think WDW is on my February calendar. I thought I would be bothered by the early closings, but I still got blisters!!!
We would spend the morning in the parks (usually MK) go back for lunch and swim then go to Epcot for the evening. We took books along and even read them in the glorious Florida sunshine!
Weather was great. A few chilly days but mostly warm enough to swim but not so hot to be miserable. Rain was sporadic and did not stop anyone.
Parks were not full, except MK in the afternoon, it was crowded then. If you did MK first thing in the morning between opening and noon you could get on all the rides with virtually no wait. Didn't wait long at any of the other parks either.
Illuminations cruise was wonderful!!!! My mother is ill and in a wheelchair. This was perfect for her! I still cannot believe how wheelchair accessable everything was at Epcot. We spent the day there and she kept saying she was having one of the best days of her life. I am so glad I took my granddaughter out of school so she could spend this time with her great-grandmother at WDW.
Restaurants - Best finds were Concourse Steakhouse and Trail's End Buffet. Disappointments were the Princesses Breakfasts. We did both the storybook and the castle. Food at both was terrible. I had a second reservation at the castle for later in the week and I cancelled it. We will not be doing this again. Over-rated and over-priced. We went three years ago and it was much better then.
Other restaurants visited were Ohana's, Konas, Chrystle Palace, Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco, RFC at AK, Beaches and Cream, and LeCellier.
Restaurant vouchers - We used both the QandC and the Magic Kingdom vouchers. I would not use them again.
If anyone has any questions I would be happy to help.
