We've just now returned from one of the best trips we've ever had! The crowds were much later than I expected, the hours were great, WISHES is amazing and we just had fun!

First let me say that we are Poly lovers through and through, and we'll be staying there as long as we can afford it, but we do have some observations, good and bad, for what they are worth.

Cleanliness and upkeep -- A+ The grounds, the pool, the hallways, common areas, restaurants and rooms were just perfect and beautiful but...

I'm still giving a C to Mousekeeping. There was nothing so terrible that I wanted to complain to management or anything, but it was just so uneven. First of all, every day when the room was made up it kind of looked like when you send a 7 year old to straighten his room. It was clean, but really disheveled looking. The bedspreads were on crooked, the pillows weren't straight, the towels weren't hung straight, and none of our stuff had been moved to do anything. People that expect towel animals would have had a heart attack. These mousekeepers weren't even taking time to make the room neat. Also, they weren't getting it done at all until late in the day -- sometimes after
3:00, which was a drag because we like an afternoon rest in the room -- it was hot and sometimes rainy!! And one more thing, we only got our turn down service every other night.

The concierge lounge gets and A! It's always very neat and stocked with goodies -- and I don't know how they manage with all those parents who let their kids take way too much and grind half of it into the carpet !!! People were asking for all kinds of things that weren't even out and the staff got it for them. It's so much fun to go there for an after dinner drink and watch the fireworks.

We waited over 1/2 hour for a bus and gave up and took a cab to animal kingdom one day - I don't blame the Poly for this though. There were people waiting for other buses, too, and just nothing was coming. The boat taxi to the MK is great and of course so is the monorail.

I kinda agree, but I have nothing to compare it to! I was impressed one day when we were there they were shampooing the carpet, and I had stepped out for ice, in bare feet - and I didnt feel wet - slightly damp, but it was an *ahHAH moment - that's why everything smells and looks so clean!!

I felt that the mousekeepers were probably told not to move anything that was a guest -- so I always made sure to put trash IN the trash, once a wrapper fell out/next to the trash, and it was there later, once we were in a rush and dd finished her bowl of cereal and I forgot to dump the milk and throw it in the trash - it was still there when we returned, I feel like this is more a policy due to problems or complaints in the past. Also, I think our mousekeeper tried to fancy up the towels - she made a pocket and fan folded the wash cloths in them, and the bath mat she somehow made a bow looking towel! She did move around the Minnie Mouse, and a Family Fun magazine, so I felt she spent as much time as necessary in our room...

The buses, I really concur, in fact dh was glad I hadnt chosen a different resort that was solely on a bus line, we often watched how crowded the other bus lines were - because they would get 2 buses to our one - but they were crowded we were only crowded when it rained and we had to pick up blizzard beach, and when we left MGM after Fantasmic! When we left Typhoon at 3 on a sunny day, we watched bus after bus go by, 2 for Saratoga it was frustrating, but as dh pointed out our longest wait was 25 minutes, most waits were under 15! (It just felt longer with that HEAT!!)

We will be there on the 23rd and was wondering how the food in the lounge was?
