lancerguys - Diversions is WAY better than the ESPN Skybox. There are about 8 plasma screen TV's throughout the room, as well as one big screen right in the center. The Skybox only had a few tables to sit at, while Diversions has booths and tables and will accomodate way more people than ESPN. As for food, they have hot dogs, nachos, buffalo wings... I think that's it. It's a great improvement over Offbeat.

No, Scary Movie 3 was not playing on board as of last week. We never had time to go see a movie anyway!!

Great, that sounds awesome. Sounds like a much better place to watch sports at. Do you know if they have anything related to sports happening there i.e. sports trivia or something like that? Also, does your screen name have anything to do with Beano Cook?

Hey! Thx for your updates!!! It seems like many of the CMs have changed since Drydock...do you remember who they are??? What's going on with Bingo? Fri. nights have been a problem for a while now...was it more fun?

Yes, the CM's have changed considerably. Brent was calling Bingo, and he did a good job, but he is leaving for 6 weeks. The jackpot was $6105, so the place was packed!!

She-She and Ellen were the only entertainment CM's that had been there for a long time. Everyone else is new. They did a pretty good job but they still have some learning to do.

Pierre is the host of Diversions, and he does a good job. It's really a nice club.

"Spirit" is the band currently on board, and I can't say I cared for them much, except for their 50-60's night performance. Charles Marshall is much better, but he is on the Wonder right now.

Are Diversions and the Cove open both day and evening? Is there a charge for frou-frou coffee? Remember how much? Smokey atmosphere in either?

Diversions is open most all the time, but strangely, Cafe Cove was closed a number of times when we tried to go there. They didn't open until 6PM on port days, which I found odd. Yes, they do charge for the coffees there. 4 bucks or so if I remember correctly - about like a Starbucks. I believe the entire cafe is non-smoking, which is nice. In Diversions, smoking is allowed only at the bar.

If you get food at someplace like Diversions (nachos or whatever,) is there a charge for that?

I was just on that fun filled cruise with BeanoC and everyone else.

The Diversions food consisted of
Nachos and Cheese
Hotdogs
Chicken Wings (bbq ans spicy)
Themed fancy stuff (stuffed mushrooms, shrimp, etc.)

There is no charge for the food in Diversions. Keep reminding Pierre to get more food. We think that they need to work on their coordination with the kitchen. Either that or order room service to be delivered at Diversions. They really didn't have food after 10PM.

The Cove Cafe coffees ranged from 2.50 to 7 depending on the drink. Many were available with ice cream. There is a full bar and internet access in there too. Only thing is, it is right off the pool and you can't go in there without a shirt and shorts on. I got over it.

The Stack looked cool. Complete with Playstation 2 and all on plasma screens. I don't know if it was fun though.

Thx so much for the updates Beano! I really want to check out the Diversions on Friday night. Our last two cruises were a huge letdown on Friday night because nothing much was going on! The pub sounds like a fun idea. Ellen and Sheshe were on our last two cruises and I believe Brent had just arrived when we sailed last summer. The two ladies are nice girls so I'm glad they were there with you. Welcome home and thx for sharing!
