What about a Disney version of the "Build a Bear Workshop"!

We spend $116 on 3 BaB's and thought Disney could make a fortune with this type of store.

Imagine, picking your character, filling it with as much "stuffing" as you want, putting the heart inside, adding sayings if you want, and then picking the perfect outfits for your new friend.

Mickey dressed in a Patriots uniform.
or
Kermit dressed as Darth Vader
or
Minnie in a Tae Kwon Do uniform
or
Pluto dressed in a Stitch costume

The possibilites are endless and I think that would be a great addition to DTD.

What do you all think?

it's an awesome idea!

In St. Louis, they just built the new Busch Stadium and I got to see it last weekend- the Cardinal mascot is Fredbird and they have a Build A Bear shop to build your own Fredbird there too. I couldn't believe the line in that place.

I would definetly build a mickey- actually I would build an Eeyore ;)

I think that the Downtown Disney in California has a Build-a-Bear workshop.

It would be cool for Walt Disney World to get one though.

Build a Bear now has a Pooh you can stuff. They also sell Disney costumes for your creations.

I did see the Pooh at BaB. I just thought it would be great to have a full-blown Disney version. You could dress Figment as Sorceror Mickey.

Too fun. Also, it could be a huge cash cow. Think about how much Disney makes on plush toys as it is.

Yep! We have one here in Philadelphia at our ballpark... you can build a Philly Phanatic. I love the Disney-themed idea!

Disney does have Mr. Potatohead and My Little Pony with exclusive Disney parts at DTD. It's sort of the same idea.

At the BABW at the Florida Mall in Orlando, you can get Mickey and Minnie BABs. They also have costumes of Buzz, Woody, Tink and all the Disney princesses.

Hi Peggy ~ Will you be adding this option to your baskets??? It sounds great, I think DS would love it!

I can't wait to go get Mickey and Minnie! I have had the email I received hanging on my fridge for the last month, but have not made it to Florida Mall! I think they are just sooooo adorable. Last thing we need in this house is another BAB, but you gotta have Mickey and Minnie!

It's cool that from what I can tell they are only available at Altamonte Springs and Florida Malls her in FL, and the BAB in Downtown Disney in CA.

I acutally used this idea and bought a Mickey and took him to Build a Bear. I love Harley Davidson so I bought Mickey a HD cap, leather jacket and t-shirt. It is so cool. I really like the idea. The larger stuffed animals from the Disney Store will fit the clothes from Build a Bear. :thumbsup2
