We stayed for 2 nights at the Rpr..first time. Loved the theming...had a great tropical feel, regaee music playing at the pool, tiki bar, cabanas, palm tree island in the middle of the pool. Just my style!

We new we wanted to get our FOTL passes early so we could use them our first day there. The night before we had stayed off property across the street from universal at the Fairfield inn..so we hopped across the street and arrived at RPR at 7am! They had a room ready(the park opened up at 8am this weekend)!

My girlfriend and her family stayed at the hard rock while we were there..so we got to see both.

Some differences.... our coffe maker had real ceramic mugs..hers had plastic(I wouldn't have even noticed but she is a cofe drinker and wished she had the real mugs)...she had a mini stereo in her room(guess it goes with the hard rock theme)..we did not.

WE had robes in our closet, she had to ask for some.

Our pool had a kid play area..her pool had a slide.

Both had the "dive" in movies on friday nights at 8pm.

Our bathroom had a sink with mirror as a seperate area outside the shower / toilet area. Her sink was right next to the toilet but did have a counter with mirror outside the shower.

I liked our coloring of our hotel room better..felt more soothing. Hers was more bright colors..ours was deep red colors.

k...thats all I can think of right now..any questions??

Glad you like the PRP!! I just love the themeing!! Have seen HRH and even went swimming there for one day just to check it out...I still like RPR...it is more of my style too!!

I too like the RP but RP does not have Deluxe rooms. so i'll stay at the HR this summer with the kids. bigger room.

Thanks for that comparison!! As most everyone here probably knows by now, ;) I've been debating cancelling my ressies at RPR to stay at HRH, but it would cost a bit more and I wasn't sure if there was any benefit to it or not. After many comments, I decided to keep my reservations at RPR and reading your post makes me think I made the right decision!

Thanks again,
