Just back from Polynesian LVC and GF- More Pics

I finally made a decision. I called today to move my GF LV ressie to Poly GVC and there are no more AAA discount rooms available So, now i need to decide if it is worth giving up the AAA discount I already have at GF to switch.

Do AAA rate rooms ever come back open? Or should I not bother trying?

Sounds like a great choice to me! I think you'll love the convenience of concierge and you'll get a super LV from the lounge and you're just steps from the beach when staying in the Hawaii lounghouse. I really love knowing where I'll be when staying concierge (not room of course but building) with GF LV you just don't what you'll get.

In the past I have had luck by calling nearly daily to check. Do you have the 800# (800-828-0228)? Have you tried to see if any of your dates are available at AAA discount? You could make multiple reservations (1 for AAA discounted nights, another for rack rate) but you'ld have to pay a 1 night deposit on each reservation.

I did not ask about specific dates. That is a great idea! I guess I will just keep calling back every day. I also check airfares just to see and I really messed up by getting my airfare 10 days ago It is $100 per seat cheaper. I really hate when I don't get the best deal. I wish I could get a refund from the AA. Just not catching the good breaks this trip. Hopefully things will turn around. I know better than looking up airfares after I booked!

They don't do vouchers? Sometimes you've got to pay at change fee but I'd call AA and ask about it.

I think you made a great choice. You won't regret being on the monorail line, and you'll love the convenience and the theming of the Polynesian. Have a great trip.

I just wanted to post that I recently called the Polynesian and was told that Rapa Nui is still not complete and that there is no firm schedule for its completion. I was also told that Fiji was likely to be complete before Rapa Nui.

Keep in mind that this information changes all the time.
