I love the Yacht Club Concierge and the hotel itself was fabulous. Loved Stormalong Bay. The room was very bright and pretty. The only downside was the distance from the elevator to the room. But we loved the hotel.

I am happy to report that the Concierge staff at the Poly has improved. Missy met us for check in, she has been with Concierge for many years. We chatted about the up coming upgrade to the building. In her opinion the whole building should be torn down and rebuilt with 4 floors. She said it would never happen but they could use the rooms. She stated that they have been having a problem with mold and that is the main reason for the renovations. While I was there (8/25 - 9/2) they changed every mattress in the building. Seems like a waste of money when they are going to remodel very soon. The staff from the front desk to the housekeepers, valet and bellman were great. I have renewed in my faith in the Poly. Eventhough I gave them a list of rooms to pick from (Tikiman's list) and I didn't get one because of the mattresses being changed they had blocked off rooms. It didn't make any sense since they changed our mattresses while we were there and our room wasn't blocked off. We had room 1502 which the palm tree obstruct the view of the Castle but it was alright.

I noticed a lot of little differences from the cut backs at Disney. Mostly the shorter hours at the parks, and the grumblings of the employees. (attention Mr. Eisner your employees don't like you very much) The biggest difference I found this trip was the amount of rude people we came across. I think people should remember they are on vacation and leave the attitude at home. I saw a man give his son a water bottle and the kid, (around 7 or 8 years old) took a drink and spit the water on the man sitting in front of him at the parade. Both the parents and the child laughed at this. The person that got wet thought he had just spilt the water good thing he didn't know he had spit on him or there might have been a problem. Very bad behavior for both the parents and child in my opinion.

We had a great trip. My husband had to be hospitialized again he was not on the trip with us. He has an on going problem since January of this year. But he is ok and back home now. My initial reaction was to jump on a plane and go home, but my husband insisted I stay when he heard Delta wanted a lot of money to change our tickets. (Same on you Delta)
