Hi all,
Just back yesterday from 4 nights Poly GV concierge, room 3040.
We had a great time, with the only negative being thanks to mother nature...e-ticket night Fri cancelled due to heavy rain and flooding of main street..the park was evacuated at 11:00
. They did however refund our money, which I thought was a very nice gesture. Here are just a few observations:
1. Tahiti bldg is far away from the GCH, but very close to the TTC. It is much easier to catch the monorail there.
2. No smell that we noticed.
3. Food was very plentiful, but the lines were long. We made sure to be in the conc lounge a few minutes before 5 each evening, and there were at least 10-20 people in line already.
4. I really thought the set-up, in the conc. lounge was very good. The only thing I didn't care for was the way they set up the tables for eating, MK viewing in two rooms. They actually took the furniture out of two connecting LV rooms and put up tables and chairs. I felt like I was in someone elses room. Really not a big deal though.
5. I noticed one guest talking with Chef Dick one evening, and then pulling out a large tip ($100). The rest of the nights, they really seemed to be getting royal treatment with special treats, food requests.
6. Really far from the pools, esp the volcano pool.
7. Close to the bus stop.
8. All in all, I felt that service was very comparable to when they were set up in Hawaii. the only difference is location and MK viewing.
Can't think of anything else...will try to answer in questions
