Just back from a wonderful stay at the Poly. We were in garden room 1329. I requested 1st floor and was very pleased that we got it. I really liked this room because it had a short hedge in front of the patio, so there is some privacy. All of the CM's that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The food in the lounge was wonderful, as always. We did not see anyone "hording" food like we did on our last visit. However, I was really shocked at the way some people continue to dress when they visit the lounge. We saw people in bathrobs and no shoes. Also several people came up soaking wet in their bathing suits. We spent a lot of time at the pool this trip. Gosh, I saw so many tables and chairs with towels over them. Most of the time no one ever used them the entire time we were at the pool. I really wish people would be more considerate of others. I saw several people get up and leave their towels on their chairs. I can't believe they didn't see the big bins with "towel return" on them. I am sure this adds to the problem of no vacant chairs. We did have one incident at the pool that really grossed me out. As I was getting in the pool, I noticed a lady guiding her son to the edge of the pool. The reason I noticed her was because she was holding her hand under his mouth. When she got to the edge of the pool, the little boy threw up several times. Most of it was on the edge of the pool, but lots of it was also in it. I watched her get a towel and clean up the outside of the pool, then she proceeded to throw the towel on the side of the pool area and walk away with her son. Now, I know that this happens and I am sure she was embarrased. But, that is plain gross to not alert the lifeguards and we are talking about a lot of vomit. I went and told the lifeguards and they had to close the pool and clean it out. Yikes, I kept thinking of all the little ones, mine included, that drink the pool water.

This was our second trip to the Poly and I really love it there. The service was wonderful and our room was great. We will definitely stay here again.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I too love the Poly. I'm trying to get ressies in May but their booked so far. (i want cl,lv )

I want to ask about the concierge lounge. I've read in more than a few posts about people comming up from the pool wet or in their robes. Is this not aloud? I guess I can see the hassle/danger of floors getting wet. Is it inappropriate to wear your robe over you swimsuit? I didn't think it was that fancy in the lounge.

:)

Glad you enjoyed the Poly CL!

you know, they DO have it posted in the lounge and your CL packet about the "no shoes" thing.

bhillier....I'm one of those that loves to put on my CL robe and sandals and go up to the CL to get a soda and snacks before returning to the pool or our room.

Shoes, slippers, sandals, tees, coverups, shorts, robes......please!

:wave2:

BTW.....bhillier, just keep calling!
Something will open up for you!::yes::

Thanks I'm hooked up with Lisa from DU now and she is trying to get the room.

As far as the lounge goes the need for shoes/shirt makes total sense. No shoes/shirt, no service. Haha. :)
