We just returned from our quick 4 night stay over Thanksgiving. Had a great time! Not nearly as crowded as I feared!
We stayed at POFQ for the first two nights and loved it! I didn't do a white glove inspection, but did eyeball it and didn't find anything dirty about our room at all, but it was missing the ice bucket. We were in Bldg 3 and it was nice and close to the foodcourt area. Didn't get any towel creations, but I did leave a note asking for 3 extra pillows and the ice bucket and we had our requests in the room when we arrived back from the parks. We didn't have any meals in the foodcourt but I spent a little time in there one morning drinking coffee and took some bengiets(sp) back to my sleeping family. The pool looked great but it was too chilly to swim the first day and we spent all day at MK the next so we didn't get to use it. This was my first time at a moderate resort. I've stayed at value, deluxe and of course a couple of my DVC resorts. I was hoping I wouldn't see the difference between value and moderate and prefer the values for cash nights when I wanted to save money, but I found I prefer this moderate over a value resort. The only thing I wished it had was queen sized beds.
After our two nights at POFQ we were able to spread out more at BCV 1br. Everything was nice, clean and comfortable as usual. I booked late and wasn't able to get all four nights here. The Christmas decorations were fantastic and it warmed up enough to enjoy SAB one afternoon. We were in room 447 and viewed the BC and part of WS; couldn't really see Illuminations though. I just love the feel of the Epcot resort area; it's so relaxing even though it's in the middle of all the action. Buses were great, but we ended up walking to MGM one night as there was a line going all the way down the long dock and no boat in sight. Even if one came, there was no way we'd be able to get on until the next and we wanted to see Osborne Lights during the first Fantasmic and see the 2nd showing of Fantasmic and were running late, so we just walked. Not too bad, really. That was the only time during our stay that there was any sort of line for boats so don't know what happened that night. We took my newest 2yo DGD for her first trip and she didn't do too well in restaurants so we ended up eating room service a couple times and it was very good there.
Over all, a great trip at two great resorts!
