Just back from our 1st use of our DVC membership

We stayed at Old Key West (what we purchased into) for 3 nights in a 1 bedroom villa. Wow!!!!

It was awesome we were in the Turtle Pond area our room number was 4215 and overlooked the lake and part of a golf course hole.

We are really impressed!!! The only problem was some slight noise problems from upstairs neighbors but it was during times that didn't matter, they (kids) did calm down or go to bed around 11:00pm. They would run back and forth and jump a lot. There were times I thought the ceiling would cave in.

We stayed Friday - Monday (Celebrating our 4 year anniversary).

Saturday we did absoultely nothing, just lounged in the room and by the pools. Sunday we did go to Epcot, my hubby tried to do the Mission Space ride (I can't due to being 7 months pregnant) and he waited 30 minutes and only moved a few feet so he gave up on it. We will try again on the 20th of this month when we are back for the weekend at BWV (celebrating his dad's B'Day).

We didn't want to leave and are so glad we purchased DVC membership!

I did notice some small details of things that needed repairing or were missing like the bottom front panel of the stove was missing and at the bottom of the island bar had some damaged areas. Otherwise, the place is spotless and beautfiul!

We are looking forward to continue using our DVC membership for wonderful vacations like this past weekend.

And let me compliment you on your obvious sense of good taste and intelligence in chosing OKW as your home resort.

We have had some preliminary studies that seem to indicate that OKW owners are generally smarter than other DVC members.

I am glad to read you enjoyed your first visit "HOME" at OKW! I certainly hope you called housekeeping, engineering or the front desk to let them know about the details you noticed. CMs want members to let them know about these type of problems/concerns, etc.

Rich -- the really smart ones bought in the early to mid 90s. Some of us needed extra tutoring to get there (I am certainly a member of that group!)

I'm supprised Rich didn't tell you next time try to reserve the top floor so you won't have noise above you, then you guys can act like little kids and run around over somebody else

I had requested the first floor because I am 7 months pregnant and have been having back problems. Next time I will request top floor with out a doubt!

Yeah, we do love being close to Disney takes us only 1 hour 30 minutes to get there.

We really don't want to use too many of our points going for a lot of weekends. So, after our BWV stay in a few weeks (celebrating Father-In-Law's B'Day) we won't be going for awhile. We want to save up for a week vacation, etc.

We figured up how much we had been spending since we got married 4 years ago on staying at Disney and going on 5 Disney Cruises and what we would like to do with Larysa in the future and there was no doubt about it, we needed to purchase into DVC!!!

Welcome Home, the first trip is always the most magical and spoiling especially if staying in the 1br for first time.

Enjoy your membership as we all do and remember to experience all the DVC resorts as each one is unique there by making each trip special.

I have also noticed that OKW members seem better looking and more affable than other DVC owners.
