We stayed in a 1 BR on Turtle Pond Rd - building 30. It was our first stay since they refurbisihed the units and it was in really great shape. I really like the new range/ovens - the flat corning cook-tops are so much nicer than the old electric range. The non-stick cookware is a great improvement as well. Can you tell I like to cook on vacation? The parks seem moderately crowded - nothing like spring break though - and it was very hot (we usually go spring/fall) with rain almost every day. Early mornings and evenings worked well for parks with swimming and/or room time in the afernoons. We did an e-ride night that started after an evening storm so it seemed even emptier than usual for an e-night. Bus service was fine. We toured SSR and thought it was very nice. As I mentioned in an earlier post we were also able to get a couple of the DVC member Fossil watches. All in all a great trip.

Thanks for the trip report. Glad you enjoyed your OKW visit. We were there last August, and it rained non-stop!

It sounds like you had a great trip? Since you like to cook, can you tell me if the units have a colander and a measuring cup? Thanks.

Yes, the one bedroom units and larger have a colander and a plastic measuring cup--the kind you use for measuring liquids.

Thanks for the great report.

You do have me nervous though, because we are going next spring break--I expect crowds, but I guess I didn't think it would be much worse than the summer.

We usually go the week of 4th of July.

Either way, we're going and we'll deal with it!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

lizziepooh,
Yes the unit had the new sleeper-sofa - it took us a while to figure out how to fold it back up. My son reports that comfort-wise it is about the same as the old - maybe a little better but that may have more to do with it being newer.

There is a two-cup liquid measure but they no longer have the individual measuring cups. The new cookware had the type of lids with drain-holes which made it easy to do pasta without using the collander.
