We just returned from 7 nights in Standard view studio 3rd floor moorea.
Our room wasn't clean when we checked in. There was hair and nail cuttings all over the floor of the 2nd bathroom and the living area had not been vacuumed as there was items like hair clips, dried cereal and wrappers on the carpet. I mentioned this to the front desk on the way out that evening and they didn't seem that bothered about it and just said that they would let their friends at housekeeping know.
On Wednesday Moorea and I believe the other DVC building lost power at around 10am - It was restored just after 5pm and the only contact from resort staff was a knock on the door to say that it should be restored by 1245pm. We had a dinner reservation at 6pm over at Magic Kingdom so at around 3.30pm I headed over to the front desk to ask when this was going to be restored and was told that it should be up and running very soon. It was very hot last week and with no power or air con it was impossible to get showered and iron clothes, in the end we used the torch on our phone to get ready as best as we could and headed out to enjoy dinner and some time in Magic Kingdom.
The front desk did agree that they could understand our frustrations and would be back in touch the next day to try and put it right, we never did hear anything back from them.
We were actually planning on adding on some Poly points while we were there but decided against it, we headed over to Saratoga on the Thursday to speak to our guide about another add on at VGF (we added on there last year but only half of what we needed as we thought we would split the additional points between VGF and PVB) but he said that it was completely sold out at the moment and they were not allowed to add anyone else to the waitlist.
Overall I do like the PVB studio and I hope the above issues are down to early day problems but for the moment its enough to put me off buying in there.
Sorry to read about your issues, seems like things with DVC are getting worse not better. :-(
