Just back from first DVC trip!!

We just got back from our first trip as DVC owners! It was great. We stayed at AKL-Kidani Savannah view 2 bedrooms. It was my self, DH, DS-2, DD-1 and my parents. everyone adored the rooms and the animals. No problems, we rented a car so drove pretty much everywhere, and the walk to Jambo from our room wasnt too bad.

We have already books a stay in February at Boardwalk. Can't wait!

Awesome! We'll be staying at Kidani for the first time this October. We loved Jambo but I'm looking forward to the extra bathroom. We'll need it with 3 teenage girls and a tween boy who takes almost as long to do his hair as the girls.

Make a note for future AKV stays, there is a shuttle van that runs between Kidani and Jambo.

Just a note from a slightly different perspective.

We've stayed at Kidani so many times now, it really does feel like home to us. We enjoy the walk over to Jambo now, though we didn't even do it our first few times there because of how far we had heard it was. Assuming good weather, we can walk it rather quickly now and actually just see Jambo as an extension to Kidani.

I guess after walking 10+ miles in the parks on average every day, that just makes the walk over to Kidani seem like a stroll to us for dinner.

Certainly, the van is available, but walking isn't an option people should probably dismiss until they've done it at least once so that they get a perspective as to how far it seems to them. The more we walk it, the shorter it seems to us.

Beware of the Boardwalk Bug!! We were bitten by that bug years ago and, even though AKL and BCV, are a close second we loooooove BWV! its amazing!

Yeah, I would be careful of the Boardwalk Bug too. We staying in June, and I can't stop thinking about how much we loved that place! I am itching to buy points there now, but I am holding off as my wife will kill me... LOL

We were bitten also. We love Boardwalk and we can tear ourselves away to try other resorts.
