HI,.

Back from CSR and we had an awesome time! I have to say I read all the good and bad reviews about this resort before we went and was a little leary about it. BUt we had NO bad experiences at all. We were in Cassitas Bldg 2 Rm 2274 . And here is what we thought.

1. Conventioners--yes there were many , they were polite and actually looked envious that we had our Mickey Garb on and they were in suits and wished they were not. Were they loud and obnoxious ,,No not at all ,, yes they were drinking by the quiet pool and socializing but we just went on our way and paid no attention to them.

2. Resort is absolutley Gorgeous, the grounds are very well kept ,, the room was spotless ,,, and the whole feel of the resort was RELAXING.

3. Transportation for us was not a hassle we used Bus Stop # 1 never waited more than 15 minutes which was no big deal I was not in a hurry I was on vacation. From the parks also was not bad 20 minutes tops from the Magic Kingdom. And the bus 's for this resort Never over crowded, maybe time of year is why that was.

4. I think and this is my personnel opinion this is more of an Adult resort, yes there were kids , buts it seemed more adult like which is what we were looking for we traveled with no children.

5. Pepper Market and Maya Grill definatley great eating choices , even if I wasnt on the Free Dining plan which we were. I felt it would have been worth the money, the food was fresh and a wide selection and the wait staff was great.

6.It is a Big resort to walk around but nothing that is not managable, my DH is 66 and didnt have a problem and we walked it a few times because it was so pretty I am 41 and we both walk alot so maybe this is why.

7. All in all we loved the resort had no bad experiences , Magical Express was great , and the CM's all were very nice and accomodating to anything we asked. I think sometimes its the way people are approached that makes them act in a bad way , I have read that some think the CM's here arent disney like ,, we didnt see that at all. I will post pics by the weekend I took a ton!

Welcome back and so gladyou loved CSR. We just returned on Saturday from CSR (our seventh stay) and I wrote a glowing report as well.

Thanks for your trip report! I'm vicariously enjoying everyone's trips to CSR until mine in November!!

Yeah some one else who had a great time. We love CSR and hopefully will stay there again when we go in '10. I agree, the resort is very adult. Not old but adult. My husband and I rarely walk due to where we live but at CSR we walked around a lot.;)

Thanks for the positive report.

We are in our 50's and have teen kids.
If we can not afford CR - then we ill add the 'S' and stay at CSR.

The pool looks great for our teens to swim in.
My DH walks 3 miles in the AM when he does not rush off to work at 7:30 AM.
I do some exercise (minimun) - so before we go back to WDW in 2010 - I will get on our treadmill and do at least 1 mile a day.

I am glad the walk at CSR is not bad - my guess the land is mostly level with no hills.

Glad to hear you liked your Casita room.
I wanted to request the Cabana's - but maybe the Casita's would be good too. :goodvibes

Thank you for reporting back! I'll be staying at the CSR in October and I just can't wait. I am treating my Mom to a Disney vacation and I chose this resort because it looked so beautiful. I'm glad that you said it felt more "adult" than the other resorts because that's exactly what I was looking for.

Glad you had a great time. We will be arriving this week for our 9th or 10th stay, it's good to hear CSR is still a great place to stay! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the great report. Did all you recent travelers get queen size beds? Is that part of the refurb completed yet?

We had a king bed (but we were upgraded to a suite as I mentioned in my report). By the time we left, they were just about done, I believe, with the Casitas section so they should be over at Cabanas soon which is last section to get the Queens (Ranchos is done and they were working on the end of Casitas 2 and 1 while we were there).

Welcome back and thank you for posting your review. Gets me more excited for our arrival one month from today.

Thanks for the post. Taking my DD for the first time next aug. Hope we have as good of a time as you did.

CSR is not my favorite resort but it was very nice except for all the walking. My wife really didn't enjoy how everything, except the quiet pool, seemed to be very far away. we were in room 5231. CM's were all great and the food was, not the best but, OK once we got used to the system. We will bounce back to CR next year. Yep, CR is our favorite after 14 trips to WDW.

All the bed conversions should be done by mid to the end of October. Only 4 cabana buildings to go.
