I go to WDW to relax.
I don't believe I've ever read this statement on the DIS before.

Who owns CSR? I didn't know any of the hotels currently there were owned by other companies (I know about the ones to come).
We did CSR a few years ago and we would NEVER go back there.
I posted before, but a few CSR "fans" shout you down and blast your posts if you are not 100% about their favorite resort..
Our main problem was with the convention folks. We had actual problems at the resort pool. We had convention guys drunk and hitting on my wife and a few other women at the pool. We had to get the lifeguard to help when the guys were getting that bad
Then we had the 10% to the dinining. Also there is not disney feel with the suits, cell phones and the "hello my name is" nametags on everyone.
Also we found that staff to be rude and treat non convention folks as 2nd class citizens.
Now we stayed at about 6 other disney resorts. From Deluxe to Values and never had these problems.
So avoid the CSR at all costs is our motto.
Good to see others spreading the word

I'm sorry that you didn't like your stay at CSR, but I have had convention attendees in suits around me at many resorts, including all of the other moderates, the Swan/Dolphin and even DVC properties.
And I myself have stayed at almost every Disney resort at some time while working and have left my room in a suit, carrying my laptop. My apologies if that is somehow offensive to some of you. I really don't see how leaving my room in the morning and walking to my car in a suit, carrying my laptop, can impact someone else's vacation.
and for those who keep mentioning cel phones - I can assure you that I have seen MANY inconsiderate leisure travellers on cel phones or worse Nextel phones at WDW. Rudeness is not isolated to business travellers, as some of you seem to indicate in your posts.
I enjoy diversity, including a diverse population of guests at my resort, whatever it may be....

Cheeseburger and fries = $9.75![]()
Just a side note, I understand 10% doesn't sound like alot, but when you factor in the prices are already higher to begin with, plus tax, your at almost $12 for a cheeseburger with fries, and thats only one meal out of your day.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
Wow, I sorry you had a bad experience there
We stayed there in the summer of 06 and had a wonderful time. I guess there is less convention business in the summer as the resort is full of regular vacationers so exept walking back to the room at night and at the pepper market you wouldn't have noticed them. (they had signs up near their balcony, some sort of midwest shriners or something). We were on the dining plan and absolutley loved the Pepper market, we had a couple of lunches there and 1 dinner, thought the food choices were great, but didnt have to look at the price and the dinner was a C/S,I had steak, very nice and saved a T/S meal for a character breakfast!
The evening we went the pool, the pool was virtually empty, just a half dozen families and this was in July.
would return there next year if we are able to go, im sorry you didnt like itWe did CSR a few years ago and we would NEVER go back there.

Knox has a really nice patio outside his igloo, I've heard...![]()

for what it's worth and this IS nitpicking - but the burger and fries served at the Pepper Market are very different from the standard CS burger and fries you get at other WDW CS locations.

. Didn't even know the answer to a simple CSR question. You have to stay at a resort to bash it.
You should learn to take your own advise.Nobody is stirring anything. People are giving viewpoints. Try to not take it so personal when people do not agree with you.

I'd say my favorite MOD is POR, but I haven't tried POFQ yet. That is going to be my stay next year. CBR is nice, but felt a little too spread out and just didn't give me that "WOW" feeling. It didn't seem as clean as I am used too with Disney resorts either. I would stay there again though. POR has very nice grounds, a nice main pool and what I think is the best eatery on WDW property as far as food choices and atmosphere. It also has a boat to DTD which is a nice option to get away from the buses for an evening. The river is also nice if you want to rent a boat or sea raycer, cause theres actually somewhere to go, unlike CSR which is just an enclosed circle.
buffalogirl, lustergirl, UrsulasShadow and bavaria, don't waste your time reasoning. He's just here to. Didn't even know the answer to a simple CSR question. You have to stay at a resort to bash it.
Knox, I agree, the burgers from other food courts aren't even in the same league.
CSR is the perfect get-a-way for all families.
