We will be at CSR in Jan. I am excited. The reason we are staying there is because my DH will be a conventioneer. DS (7) and I will hit the parks. DH will join us if and when he can.

I am curious as to what I will think of the resort. I am not difficult to please. The pics look beautiful. I am just grateful to be going to Disney with my DS. His first time. Heck last time, I was in an RV with 10 other people at the Disney Camp ground, so this will be a step up for me.

I assume I will eat at the Pepper Market. While in the parks though, we will eat there.

If oyu haven't already, check out my CSR website below for pics and info. Have a great trip!

I think the pp who mentioned they were shouted down when posting adverse opinions had his/her point proven over three pages multiple times. The info given on the CSR here has been the most valuable I've ever read, far more than the FAQ thread (all faq threads naturally trend to the positive, this is not an attack on the CSR one).

But, everytime something negative is said there's a big response that basically calls the judgement of the person's opinion, and often their common sense, into question.

Every resort has plusses and minuses, and it'd be very nice to hear both of them more often.
That happens on every thread when someone posts negative comments about anything at WDW; restaurants, rides, parks, cm's. Not only the resorts. Someone, somewhere will defend their favorite ___________ (fill in the blank).

The OP said he like the resort and it was very nice, just didn't care for the PM and the suits. It's not a big deal. There are many resorts for people to try.

Oh sure.. yuk it up. Come on up in mid-May and see if you want to eat out side in 52 degree (F) weather. I don't.

;)

Also - for what it's worth and this IS nitpicking - but the burger and fries served at the Pepper Market are very different from the standard CS burger and fries you get at other WDW CS locations. Still not worth 9$ to me, but then I guess that's part of why I ate poolside... That and the eating outside thing. :rolleyes1

Pictures are posted by Buzz in the other CS thread on this board ...

I actually found the food worse at the PM than at the other resorts. Well, the pizza was ok though and was larger than you get at the other resorts, so that was a little more worth it.

We stayed there last year - in fact exactly one year ago today we were there. (I just realized that). We weren't impressed. Bell Services was undoubtedly the slowest I've ever encountered...and they weren't "disney-esque" with their attitude. Upon check-in our room was so dusty it was pathetic. However, the next day after mousekeeping came in the dust was gone. I assumed the problem was the room had been empty for awhile and hence not cleaned.

Then, our heater wasn't working and it was FREEEEZING for a few days of our trip. It took several phone calls to get anyone to come fix it.

The Pepper Market just does nothing for me. I don't like the set-up, the food is just "good enough" - I don't hate it really I just don't love it. Is it a food court or not? It feels like a food court, but with higher prices and a little better food (I guess).

We used to love the Maya Grille - it was one of our favorites and must-do's. They have totally changed the menu to a more Americanized version and that really disappointed me.

The convention aspect never bothered me. Don't know why - just didn't really notice it.

The grounds are beautiful I will say that - but I don't think we'll ever stay there again. The pool is very nice for a moderate resort, but we didn't get to swim because the weather didn't cooperate.

As moderates go, our favorite is POR. We felt the rooms were cleaner, the service was better, and we liked the boat service to DTD. Pool wasn't as nice. We typically stay deluxe, but I think if for financial reasons we have to do moderate again, it'll be POR for us.

Sorry to get your hopes up but there are more POSITIVE threads about CSR than negative!!:sad2: :sad2:

Probabaly because if you post anything negative about CSR you are told you are a "problem" guest and basically TRASHED by the CSR fans on here. :lmao:

I got told that expecting POWER at CSR was just plain unreasonable since it's such a great resort. :rotfl2:

This is one of the few resorts where saying anything negative brings out attacks. I have no idea why (I received one PM telling me that if I didn't like my "powerless" room at Disney I should never go to Disney again since this was the "Best" resort ever and I should have stayed there in the dark. :happytv: )

Saying anything negative about any resort usually brings attacks. A few weeks ago safetymom locked a AllStars thread because it got our of hand. It hardly just CSR lovers. You can't mention the Poly or WL without being attacked either.

But all the WDW resorts will continue to flourish.
