Overall we liked the Contemporary. Is it rough around the edges? Yes. Would I stay here again? Yes.

DD2 loved it. There was always something for her to do. Play in the sand, the playground, escalators, arcade, the ducks, pool, the monorail, always something. We had a junior suite, ground floor, north wing. Those were my 2 room requests and both were granted. The room itself was really large. There was a small fridge, coffee maker and a DVD player. We loved the location. It was right where the wing "bends". It wasn't a far walk to the food center or the pool. The playground and the sandy beach was steps away. There was a bath/shower and then a small closet/room that had the toilet and a stand-up shower in it.

The negatives....housekeeping was terrible!!!! We left a tip the first day and it didn't help any. The only thing they did was replace towels and make the bed. They had mowed the lawn one morning and grass was all over the patio. It wasn't swept so when we would go from inside to outside we'd track grass all over the carpet. Also those of you who have a 2 year old know they are messy eaters. We had some crumbs on the floor from DD eating a snack while playing and the crumbs and grass wasn't swept for 2/3 days. Our coffee was never replaced so I called to ask for some to be brought to the room. Well an hour and a half later we still didn't have any coffee. Also we had rented a toddler bed from a local company and Bell Services WAS NOT HAPPY about delivering it to the room. The CM was complaining to the point that I was getting uncomfortable with it.

The positives....room was great. Great size, great location. The resort overall is in a great location. We loved all there is to do there. We would stay here again if we could afford it. We paid full rack rate and wow it's pricey. Anyway if you have any questions I'll try to help.

Very interested in the junior suite. Its almost as much as a tower room, wondering what was your deciding factor between the two? Are these rooms bigger than the average room? The web site states they have a marble foyer'? & upgraded bathroom? Did you notice any differences that you would elaborate. These rooms seem to be available alot, when the picking are tight so we have considered them, but usually go with the tower if available. Just keep thinking we are missing something?

Thanks, Mky princess:

personally, I think they did you a favor by not bringing you the coffee...the stuff they leave you is terrible :crazy2:

I can't compare them to a tower room. It was our first time and so I've never seen a tower room. I also can't compare size as this is the only room I've seen....I know I'm real helpful, huh?!

When we booked the tower rooms were a GREAT deal more than the junior suite. We booked b/c the description that comes up on WDW website says that it has a "bedroom", when in fact it's just a large room. There was definitely not a marble foyer. I thought the bathroom was pretty nice. It was large and having the bathtub and a stand up shower separate was big help when getting ready. Our location was great but I could see if you were located at the end of the wing where it would be a really long walk to the tower. The room was really big. We had 2 patios. It was also a quiet area which we really liked. Our decided factor in going with the junior suite was that we originally thought it had an acutal bedroom and it was only about $300 more than a standard garden wing room. Hope that helps at least a little!

ahhhhhhhh! You're definitely right about the coffee they give you. But I was packing, DD refused a nap that day and I needed coffee ASAP! I didn't care what it tasted like at that point! ;)

DH and I stayed in a junior suite in 2003 when we couldn't get a tower room on short notice. The junior suite rate was about $30 less than the tower room, but it was easily twice the square footage of a standard tower room. Ours was on the first floor of the south wing, so we had two patios and were just a short walk from the pool. We loved the extra space and would stay in one again if there wasn't anything available in the tower.
