My sons and I just returned from our trip to CSR and the Disney Magic.
From the moment we left our door until we returned the trip was incredible. I will be writing a full trip report, but I wanted to say how absolutely awesome Coronado Springs is.
Since it was our first time at the resort and preferring to be surprised, I did not request any room location. We arrived about 11:00am and were checked in by Miles at the Guest Services desk and he assigned us Cabanas section 8B room 8541. The room was ready and after we walked out of the main area and saw the grounds I knew I had a new favorite resort. We had our first meal at the Pepper Market and after a few moments of getting our bearings there enjoyed a SUPER lunch and my first margarita of the trip.
Buzz - I was recalling all your tips. Thanks so much for such a great site.
After lunch we returned to our excellently located room and our luggage had arrived! We changed into our suits and spent a fantastic afternoon at the Dig Site. I cannot tell you in words how wonderful that pool is. We were super happy that the jaguar slide into the pool was in fact OPEN!! (I had read online that it was undergoing refurbishment). So we spent the afternoon sliding and swimming and getting into vacation mode.
Our Mousekeeping was fine - never saw or heard her. The room location could not be beat - about 7 mins to El Centro, 4 mins to the Dig Site and 3 mins to bus stop 4. The bus service to and from the parks was the best we've had at any resort.
The grounds and facilities were spotless. The staff were friendly and polite. A pleasant surprise was that the day before we were to leave I went and spoke to Roberto at Bell Services and told him we needed to get a cab to AK for our cruise bus pick up. I was totally expecting to have to schlep our 6 huge suitcases to El Centro for a cab, but Roberto offered to pick us up at our room and drive us there!
He arrived right at 9:00am as promised and drove us in a Disney Van to the AK.
We only had 3 nights at CSR, but I am going to plan a return trip for longer. There is so much more to do there and the 3 of us totally enjoyed the resort.
